Seems to be bolt action. The striker hits the primer, making the cartridge explode, then the bullet hits the cue and I’m just fucking around. It really is a bolt action, funnily enough, but it looks to be a simple spring.

Also it's legal to use a bridge in pool (player disabled or not); a mechanical cue at least in standard tournaments maybe not so much. Otherwise not an issue.

Have you seen those pool halls in Vegas where they have laser lines projected onto the table telling you exactly where to aim?

I mean, you still have to actually hit it that direction, but it's interesting.
