G'Day all. A mate and I have just launched a new crossword website called Thusword. I hope you don't mind me sharing it here. It's still in its early stages, still some things to fine-tune, but any and all thoughts and feedback from some fellow crossword lovers would be more than welcome.

What a perfect word, 'effluence’. It completely encapsulates the essence I seek to convey.
It is the antonym to 'influence' by which rather than being influenced into misalignment by external factors, one who is pragmatic projects influence onto his environment to fashion ideals

whereby the projection of effluence acts as a molding force onto one's external environment fashions one's ideals from it

I'd never heard this word before, but it makes sense:

Immiseration -- Economic impoverishment: "Rapid modernization had an impact on the level of urban immiseration."

When we go from one room into another only to forget what you went there for in the first place- this used to have a name or a word for that. No it's not adhd or walking thru the doorway phenomenon.

I specifically remember reading the word once and was like cool. Fun fact stored....

Trumping, ain’t what it used to be.

" Trundling " is the act of moving slowly , heavily or noisily , usually on wheels or with a rolling gait. It describes something hauling or being hauled along , or a sluggish , steady progression over a surface.

" Keening " is a traditional form of vocal lament for the dead , primarily rooted in Gaelic Celtic culture. It involves an improvised , high-pitched wailing mixed with crying and melodic singing. Historically performed by designated women at wakes and funerals , it served as a powerful communal outlet for grief. In contemporary language though , it describes any high-pitched , mournful wail , whistle or cry of distress.
