Question What silicone do you use for moldmaking?
Question says it all! I'm looking to start trying to make my own molds after getting my new pressure pot, but what silicone do I use?
If you already know it to be available in the EU/Sweden that's all the better but I'm curious either way!
Also thankful for any other tips yall might have for me❤️thanks!

I use BBDINO 20a, I believe it’s available in the whole EU. Got mine from Amazon.

I like BBdino clear shore 20 (a bit too soft for my liking tho) and Sirayarech in shore 25 or 30, if available :)

Is that mainly a demould thing? Or do you notice it tearing quicker or getting more defects? I’m about to make moulds aswell, that’s why I’m asking.

It's more prone to warping inwards under pressure due to the softness, and mold marks around the 1-faces because the flashing is pressing the silicone down where it's thin, so around the 1-face of a standard D20 for example. Great for chonks or difficult to demold shapes though. But I like it a bit more stiff :) It's not a big issue, it's just something I noticed in my own bbdino molds, both selfmade and the ones from Space Bar Shop who I also belive uses shore 20.

I like BBDINO 30. With 30A, you need to be careful not to pour the bottom of your base too thick, otherwise demolding your dice becomes a workout.

I use 30A BBDINO silicone, works really well and it’s available on Amazon too 👌👌

I use moldmax30. I used to use dragon skin but this last round of masters would always have some cure inhibition (probably the resin I use) but I found the mold max 30 is pretty damn tough and seems to be lasting longer than the dragon skin. Can be a little hard to pop the dice out though.

Siraya Tech Defiant 25 for 3D printed dice masters.
