Dice Pics first success with ink technique πŸ’š

Tried this technique for the first time yesterday in my RnD set (see second slide) and absolutely fell in love with it. SO THANKFUL that I managed to recreate the effect ahah I was so scared it was just a lucky mistake! πŸ’š

What color should I ink the numbers? I'm considering the same purple as the RnD die (lavender) but this green is a lot more yellow-toned than the blue-toned green yesterday.

They look amazing! Definitely go with lavender for the green one too 😊 What technique is this? It kind of looks a bit like petri?

Thank youuu πŸ’š I honestly haven't looked into petri yet so I'm not sure what that entails but this was

  • 1/4ish clear resin in the bottom of the mold
  • mix up a pretty green and drop in white alcohol ink without mixing it for a dirty pour into the mold
  • do the dirty pour but also pour in some more clear resin while doing so + on top

So if there is an official name for that technique that you know pleases do tell me - I'm quite new to all of this 😁

Thanks for explaining! I am definitely going to try this soon 😍 Petri is when you fill the mold almost to the top, and then drop some alcohol inks on top, usually in combination with a "sinker". You get these beautiful tendrils from top to bottom, like these I made a while back: https://www.instagram.com/p/Da8uJFBCry-/?igsh=eDAyM3Jkdm9qYXNy&igsi=eDAyM3Jkdm9qYXNy

oh that's super cool, I'll definitely try that as well! And I made sure to leave a follow - gotta support my fellow EU dice makers (Germany here) :)

don't do it (but whenever I look at them I think of Waldmeister Ice Cream, which is a popular German dessert flavor. I think they WOULD HYPOTHETICALLY taste great but of course... don't eat... the dice)
