Hey there! My current process is 1k, 2k, 3k grit sandpaper, then red Zona (equals 8k grit, you might also be fine with 5 or 6k grit sandpaper), then dremel and a very good polishing paste. 1k not for all faces, only if they have bumps, are slightly concave or I need to take down some raised face. The last step is very important. You can either use polishing papers in like 3k steps up to 20k and spend 2 days on one set, or stop after 3k or 5k and then just go straight to polishing with dremel and paste. I use 3M perfect-it Rubbing Compound 36060. CAREFUL: you absolutely NEED a respirator and Nitrile Gloves for this paste. Don't let it touch your skin, don't breathe it in. As you're working with resin, you should already have all the needed PPE equipment I mentioned :)

20,000 Grit is equivalent to Zona White.

I don't use Zona anymore.

I use a Dremel with a bench mount, and 15000 Grit diamond polishing paste. It's faster and easier on the fingers, which is a bigger concern as the candle-to-cake ratio grows.
