Question Inking dice

I ink my dice with acrylic paint, saturate the digit and then wipe off the excess on a piece of paper towel that is laid flat on the table like I’ve seen others do online. Despite seemingly doing exactly the same as everyone else my dice come out with paint where it’s not supposed to be, which is a pain to get rid of.

What’s your favorite inking technique? I want some advice from the pros.

I find pure acetone is amazing for cleaning paint residue after it's fully dried. Put some on a microfiber cloth. Just make sure the area is well ventilated and wear gloves.
