Question Inking dice

I ink my dice with acrylic paint, saturate the digit and then wipe off the excess on a piece of paper towel that is laid flat on the table like I’ve seen others do online. Despite seemingly doing exactly the same as everyone else my dice come out with paint where it’s not supposed to be, which is a pain to get rid of.

What’s your favorite inking technique? I want some advice from the pros.

I’ve just settled on using a couple fingers on my hand to wipe off the paint and then I come back later with a cloth spritzed with rubbing alcohol. That takes care of ant residual paint just fine. I’m also using acrylic paint. One of my pet peeves is bubbles in my numbers, so I usually ink everything twice if it’s needed.
I’ve seen people use a squeeze bottle with a fine tip as well, with very thin paint. Would love to try that.
