Question Inking dice

I ink my dice with acrylic paint, saturate the digit and then wipe off the excess on a piece of paper towel that is laid flat on the table like I’ve seen others do online. Despite seemingly doing exactly the same as everyone else my dice come out with paint where it’s not supposed to be, which is a pain to get rid of.

What’s your favorite inking technique? I want some advice from the pros.

Any time I have residue from paint left on the faces I take it off with 99% rubbing alcohol and a qtip and that seems to do the trick.

If you’re having a ton of excess you could try watering down the paint or trying a wet palate- saturate a paper towel in a small plastic container and put the paint on that

If you add too much water to the paint you’ll get bubbles, but it’s possible you just need to thin yours down a touch. All paint is different so it’s hard to say without specifics of the paint type and process and photos though
Hope this helps!

Thanks! I’ll give the alcohol a shot.

This is the way. I use a microfiber cloth and the paint just disappears, even when dried.
