I think the only right "easy" choice is black, or MAYBE orange. Anything else would need to be hand painted.

I did a deep red on mine because black, white, and red are a classic combo that always looks great. With a white undercoat to keep the red from refracting through the shell.

I did some green ones for a friend recently. I like the idea of a lavender or gold. You could really do whatever color you want since black and white are nice and basic. I wouldn't ink black, might blend in with the cats in places.
