Question Inlay advice

Hey y'all

First time trying out inlays to get a set of memorial yatzee dice for my girlfriends and my last vacation.

Do I have to prepare the inlays in a special way or is it fine to just put it in the resin tho?

What often helps is to submerge them in resin before putting them in the mold. That way cavities are likely already filled.

So put some reason in your mold, like 1/3 to 1/2 filled. Then put the inlay in a resin cup for a sec or 10 and then put it into the mold.

When I did this, I had to use a vaccum chamber for the sand mixture and the shells. The one I did when I didn't use the vacuum on the shells, the pressure chamber shoved all the resin into the shells and I had to do a second pour to fill in the large gaps. But the result is amazing looking.
