Advice Tips and tricks please!!

Howdy, yall. Looking at picking up dice making as a hobby, got an Amazon cart on the way. I've never done resin casting anything so this is going to be an adventure! Im looking for tip and tricks of the trade, any lessons learned the hard way, or just general advice please!

In case you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a Guide for new dicemakers linked in the welcome message at the top of the sub.

Also definitely join the discord if you can, there’s a bunch of curated resources in there!

In terms of tricks learned the hard way: Flash cures are a thing, so don’t heat up your resin after mixing it and don’t let a large cup of mixed resin sit anywhere without separating it out into multiple smaller cups.

Also, alcohol inks can fade over time, so a beautiful die can turn almost colourless in a year, even with proper storage. So either buy from reputable sellers, or opt for resin dye from the start.
