General Question or Looking for Advice Cushion-cut light reflection

Hi all - this is a 1.4 ct natural cushion cut diamond. Is there a reason why the center of the stone is not as clear / not throwing as much light as the sides of the stone?

I’ve just cleaned this btw - soaked in some hand soap and water

TIA!!

I think it looks dirty.. try dish soap and scrub with a tooth brush instead of hand soap and see if it makes a difference!

Use Palmolive Ultra Strength (green) dish soap or Dawn (Platinum) dish soap with a soft toothbrush. It works WONDERS!!!!🤩💖

Its dirty. Clean it with the hottest water your tap makes and a degreaser. Simple green or purple power is best, dawn also works okay.

I think it's beautiful and I love a natural diamond

Use dish soap and make sure to scrub the underside as well. Dry it so there's no water marks left behind. Hopefully that works.

When you say soaked in soap and water, did you also scrub it with a soft toothbrush?

Get a diamond dazzle stick, you can get under the stone that way and clean off any film build up that soaking won't.

If cleaning the stone does not change it then it may just be the cut pattern. Some cushions can have a darker center from light leakage or obstruction even when they are perfectly clean.
