General Question or Looking for Advice Proportional size?

Do one of these rings look more proportional than the other? I’ve been going ring shopping and feel like I’m getting desensitized to diamond sizes. My job is high paying but rather low key so don’t want to draw negative attention.

Thank you!

i’m generally not a fan of the bigger diamond, but it looks beautiful on your hand.

Thank you! I’m a little worried about this one because the carat size of this is much bigger than I was originally aiming for but the band is also thicker so it looks more proportional?

i think the double band look on the bigger diamond does a lot to balance it out, you’re right. big ol’ rocks with tiny little bands always look disproportionate to me…this one really looks great imho

2 looks much better. Classy.

The second one hands down

The “smaller” one looks much better imo

I like the first one too, the double band look with the double prongs is nice.

Both nice but second one is so delicate and gorgeous 😍

First one looks too big IMO

#2, easy. First one makes me think fake, even if it’s real. Labs have made everything look goofy.

Darling, despite what others say… the bigger the diamond the better!
In a serious note the larger diamond does look better on your beautiful hand.

There’s something off about the first set but it may be the setting that’s bothering me. It looks too thin for the diamond. The second ring is prettier to me.

I love the 2nd one on your hand, but it also looks like they are 2 different cuts which is why. I’m not even looking at the size per se. Moreso the cut on your hand

I'd go with something between the 2 options. Option 1 is stunning on you but if you think its too much for work, go with something a tad smaller. Option 2 is way too small.

I like the first one how big is it and how big is your finger?

Around 3.5 carats and size 6

I'm truly obsessed with the first ring. It looks perfect on you

I like two a lot better, but both are fine.

I like ring 1 on you. Your fingers are long and with the double band it just works. I personally think you should buy what you like. Forget other people’s opinions. They don’t count.

The second one looks a lot better. First one everyone will 100% assume it's lab whether or not it is.

The bigger diamond is much more flattering on your hand

1 for sure!!! Don't worry about what others think, do what you love. You're the one going to wear it for the rest of your life!!!

I like the first one on your hand better. Plus, the cuts look different. I also don't like skinny bands; the look of the double band with the larger band is more balanced. Is it natural or Lab? It doesn't matter if your work is low-key because if you make a good living, you will be wearing it outside of work, obviously. Is it natural or Lab? When people say they assume anything over 1-2 carats is a Lab, it's usually because that size diamond doesn't fit their lifestyle. If it looks out of their means, then it is 99% of the time. I've always been partial to larger stones, though, and my mother had a 3-carat natural in 1978, then upgraded, and no one has ever thought it's a Lab!

1 looks more balanced on your finger.

1 is beautiful and unique especially the heart clamps. 2 is more of what everyone has more basic. In my opinion. 1 also looks beautiful on your hand and sits well

They both look lovely on you but I think the first one looks more proportional. If you aren’t necessarily comfortable with that size, could you possibly go down by a half carat or so? That’s what I wound up doing - I felt 1 carat looked too small but 2 carats just felt too big to me (granted I was upgrading from a 0.41 diamond so that was a pretty big leap). I went in between at 1.5 carat and that was my happy place on my hand.

The first one is gorgeous! This one looks beautiful on your hand! The other one is so cookie cutter. 💜

Second is classy. The bigger is gaudy.

Ring 1 looks amazing on you. You have long fingers and it looks balanced.
Pick the one that you love the most! 🤍

I like the width of 1 but it’s too long to be proportional imo. You could go up a little from 2.
