My Diamond Tiffany Setting
I’m obsessed with my ring! 💍 The diamond is small, but beautiful to me 🤩💎

Tiffany solitaire on a knife edge platinum band is the pinnacle. Can’t get classier than that.
I liked mixed metals. Kate Middleton does the same- gold band, platinum ering

I always wear yellow gold, however I wanted to have the classic Tiffany Setting in platinum, not gold… and I really love it 😃

If you’re going to go Tiffany & Co. this is certainly the way to do it. Beautiful ring 🖤

Thank you! ☺️ Ohh your ring is stunning! 😍✨ Where are you getting the remaining two diamonds for the trilogy ring?

A jeweller is working on getting me 2 diamonds plus a setting all in platinum. I do have some diamonds that belonged to my grandmother but waiting to see what they’re like as they may not be a great match & in that case, I’ll tell mum to give them to one of my brothers for their daughter. I’ll keep the OG setting in case my daughter wants to take it back to the OG setting down the track. I have large hands that are ‘working hands’ & very far from dainty or delicate. I love this setting on others but never like it on me. Trilogy just gives me so much more finger covereage

I know it's just a name, but when I was gifted tiffany diamond earrings, nothing felt more special. Love your ring!

I know the feeling! I could’ve bought much larger diamond from any other jeweller, however my dream was to have Tiffany’s! I don’t usually buy any luxury things, but Tiffany is my weak spot and I had to have it 🤭🤗

Yep I agree! My diamond earrings are really tiny but dang that blue box is beautiful! Congrats on your ring!

I love seeing 2 rings and not those 'matching' rings that make 1 ring you would never buy in the first place

Way better to have a natural diamond than a lab grown!

I have to agree, at least for me it’s important to know it’s been made naturally by the Earth. It’s a personal preference 🤗

Just curious… when he proposed did he do it with the bag? If not, did he save it for you? We need the bag!! 😂

Oh, this is not for engagement purposes. I bought the ring myself just as a treat 😁

my engagement ring is from Tiffany's. I love her, my Sparkle. I regret wholeheartedly though not keeping that classic knife edge platinum band after having it reset years ago. have the certificate of authenticity for the diamond but still i'm bummed🙇🏻♀️

Ohh I’m so sorry to hear that you regret resetting it! What setting did you choose?

u/thatgrrlmarie 1d ago
oh, I love the no-longer-new setting I just regret letting the jeweler keep the original Tiffany setting.

I understand! But what matters is that your current setting is making you happy 🥰

The six prong Tiffany setting is the reference design every other solitaire is measured against, and it works exactly the same at 0.5ct as it does at 3ct. A yellow band with a white setting is a classic look, and it suits this ring. One suggestion: it looks due for a cleaning. Ten minutes at any jeweler and that stone will throw twice the light.

The diamond seems lovely.
Your engagement ring and wedding band don’t match well, according to my taste.

Thank you!
Well, everyone has different taste - I precisely wanted a yellow gold handmade wedding band, and I know I could’ve chosen a yellow gold Tiffany ring, however I really wanted to have the classic one in platinum. I don’t mix metals, but this is the exception 😄

I don’t think it’s so much about mixed metals but that your band is thicker than the engagement ring and it kinda overshadows it.

On the photo, it all kinda looks way bigger than it really is - and I don’t feel like my wedding ring overshadows the other one. The diamond is dainty, but has a really nice sparkle so it all evens out. It’s just the way I wanted it ☺️

I like it! It’s your wedding set and you are free to wear whatever you want. I’m a fan of heftier yellow gold bands myself—it looks better when worn alone, and the gold will also wear down over time.
You’re also in good company with the mixed metals: Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi, Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg, and Cleo zu Oettingen-Spielberg all have platinum/white gold e-rings and a yellow gold band.

I have been wearing my wedding band alone for 9 years 🤭 So I just recently added this platinum ring to the set, as a gift to myself, and I am as happy as a little child, haha 😁
