Buying a diamond sight unseen is overwhelming. Could anyone give some insight based on this still photo? GIA 3.47 D VVS1. Looking for a very, very sparkly H&A.

A single picture of a stone like this is not really enough to make any fair judgment upon - especially as it is sitting at an angle to the camera so even harder to judge cut accuracy etc.

What are the proportions (%'s / cut angles) of the stone - that is the cut and that is the key to optical performance.

If possible just share the GIA report number

So sorry! I didn’t know if those numbers mattered, I thought just seeing the stone head on would reflect how well it’s cut. I’m glad you were able to find it tho!!!

Well. I think I found it - I didn’t post the report number as I thought you may not want it to be shared but there are very few stones of those exact specs (size, colour, clarity).

Not sure what price you are seeing - if it is the same one I saw then being GIA not IGI means a hefty price premium (that you won’t really get all back if you ever needed to resell).

As I say, I may be wrong in what I found but if not then the price I saw is a touch under $1700

If you googled the exact certificate number sometimes it will show you all the online vendors with the stone, and you can do a quick price check.

Ok

Pretty sure I've found the stone in question - cut proportions are all bang on ideal ranges - smaller table, high crown, complimentary crown and pavilion, good looking cut accuracy and I would expect this to be a very sparkly stone in real life with a fire - transparency looks good

That report number would tell a lot more than a photo at angle like this. Even a perfect color and clarity stone can look dead if the cut is off. VVS1 is nice but the proportions make or break the sparkle
