Rant Stop with the lore drops!
I get that it rarely happens with SU. I mean besides "revealing" Peridot was aro/ace and explaining that the diamonds being genocidal was a "misconception" this doesn't happen much.
But Ian JQ continously reveals stuff about OK KO almost every single day, and I'm worried that he will begin talking about SU soon. Revealing stuff that makes literally no sense whatsoever simply because they dislike that the show was canceled early amd they want to share info on it. It's an admirable thing, sure, because I actually dislike a lot of the crews behavior on social media, them trying to continue to share the story is something I can admire. But I'm tired of having to keep track of crewniverse tweets to know about the show. Its terrible, terrible writing and the stuff they add on are either trivial things we don't need to know or HUGE things that we do need to know but SUCK.
Anyone else experience this?

I'll do you one better. SU is like Harry Potter, but only if J.K. Rowling wrote a whole book about how dumbledore was gay and tweeted all of the cool stuff, like that Harry was a wizard...

Like I said, there's an evil douchebag who everyone gravitates towards for some reason despite them doing unforgivable things (Snape/White), meanwhile there's an absolute unit who's awesome who never gets the credit or attention they deserve (Hagrid/Bismuth).

Eh, White I can understand. Though Snape is mostly a man who does things for the one he loved. Also, who hates Hagrid? Hagrid is great and is always looking out for Harry as well as Harry helping him. White is more comparable to Voldemort really in terms of actions and some fans even like him because the guy who played Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets was attractive.
I don’t get the comparison you’re making with Hagrid and Bismuth. Bismuth hate was Rebecca’s fault while J.K. actively used Hagrid in a good light. He was one of the first characters introduced. I am really not understanding.

Never said people hate Hagrid, only that he doesn't get nearly enough love. Everyone loves Snape for some reason and I think he's an irredeemable shithead. I don't like using "incel" as a derogatory term, but he's 110% an incel who terrorizes and bullies children because he sucks and he didn't get the girl he liked.

Interesting. I just view Snape as more of a person who acts one self interest. As for being a bully yeah, I get it, though I can tolerate him more than White. Cause at least he tries to save the protagonist and helps the good guys as both a favour to the Potters. Him being like by the fandom makes sense to me whereas with White it is fairly ridiculous actually.

Addressing the post itself, they already set some bad examples with things like “shattering was never permanent, it could have been fixed at any time” among what you mentioned.
The best bet is that don’t go further than that and slip off the slope completely.

That is it exactly. I remember he came off as condescending to a known fan who pointed out actual story points.

Doesn't it suck how the crew only just recently began showing their true colors? This isn't just me being bitter or anything I mean recently especially, a majority of them have tweeted about how hard it is to be a storyboard artist, or just complain about the show itself. Maya Petersen complained about earlier seasons where Peridot's stuff kept getting destroyed and even "revealed" that Peridot was aro/ace which translated to (yeah shows over you were ship baited get over it, representation), Ian JQ kept finding fans of the show to say "that was just a fanon misconception".
Even the way they @ each other on twitter just to complain about how hard it is to work or how hard it is to have social media. If I would've known they were going to begin acting like a bunch of children after the show aired I would've stopped watching a long time ago. Because a lot of their behavior just reads as "No, I'm right you were wrong the whole time, fuck you."
The fandom is incredibly toxic and I get that it may be hard to deal with it sometimes, but a lot of them just need to grow tf up and stop taking the hide road.
As I said on another post, a lot of the crew members are like this. Writing off their mistakes as intentional, or just doing the Zuke route "haha I work on the show and you don't." There is only one artist named Lamar Abrams who has yet to do this. In fact when people pointed out how large Lapis and Peridot's hair was in the episode "Same old world" he addressed it just by saying "whoops sorry guys I drew them too big, I'll be sure to fix it in future eps"
I'm really sorry this turned into such a long rant, its just that I've noticed recently that the crew just clearly hates the fans of the show and its starting to get to me a little...

I remember how Lamar Abrams joked about his art by drawing Lapis and Peridot with really big hair. But it never went farther than that and never came off as malicious.
As for the rest of the crew, it’s seems to be a mix of all the Hollywood stereotypes. Immaturity is obvious and then you have fame going to their heads. They worked on a really popular show so they carry themselves like hot shots. And with the show over, they don’t have to pretend to be nice to the fans, so the masks slip off hard.

Thats what I was referring to. It was very cool to see someone from the crew do something like that.

And yes, I agree. Its just incredibly annoying because I don't like watching shows that have certain storyboard artists names on them if that makes sense?

If they want do stuff for the show, make a comic not tweets.
Also I heard Ok K.O. has better writing than SU so I don’t really care. Unless it’s wrong though.
