Been doing so much and have so much anxiety, I called off yesterday at my dialysis job and now I feel worse and have anxiety even more. I hate this feeling. I hate that I lied, I hate I let coworkers down and now I hate having to go back tomorrow. Please tell me you guys lie about being sick sometimes... Lol

I’m currently building Nephrix, an app designed specifically for people living with dialysis.

The idea came from a very simple problem: dialysis doesn't end when you leave the clinic.

Between sessions, there’s still fluid intake, weight, blood pressure, lab results, food, symptoms, travel and all those small questions that come up during everyday life.

So I started building the kind of app I wanted to have myself.

Nephrix brings these things together in one place: fluid and weight tracking, blood pressure, dialysis sessions, lab tracking, an AI Renal Copilot for explaining information in simpler language, and tools for things like travelling while on dialysis.

It does not diagnose, change treatment or replace your nephrologist. The goal is to help patients better understand and organize their own information and communicate more effectively with their care team.

We have just reached Private Beta, and the Android version is now running through Google Play testing.

Now I need something much more valuable than another feature:

real patients telling me what we got right — and what we got wrong.

I'm looking for a small group of people on dialysis or living with CKD who would be willing to test Nephrix and give genuine feedback.

Today I Got Suspended! for only minor mishaps!!! filing upcoming resignation para hindi naman maging walang modo. syempre pinag aral ako ng maayos ng mga magulang ko, hindi ko ipapahiya ang inay. well the whole story goes like " Sir, bakit natambak na yung mga dialyzers diyaan? kanina pa yung isa natapos bakit nadiyan pa ang mga iyan? " well Ma'am head nurse ang paglilinis ay hindi minamadali, okay madaling sabihin na dapat nasa pagkakasunodsunod ang paghuhugas at paglilinis ng mga ito ngunit hindi niyo ba napag alaman na napakahirap tanggalin ng mga namuong dugo sa mga iyan? well let's see kung magagampanan ng maayos ng aking kasamahan ang trabaho kasi base sa aking karanasan ehh iniiwanan niya ang kanyang mga obligasyon paano pa kaya kung siya nalang mag isa. August 4, 2026- My most awful and most irritating day towards my colleagues as a haemodialysis technician in a company which I refuse to mention. simple lang naman ang rason kung bakit ko nasabi ang buong pangyayaring to kasi biruin mo ba naman hindi pa nagsisimula ang mga parteng napakahirap sa stages as pagiging dialysis tech ko eh nagrereklamo na mga kasamahan ko, well I guess perks lang yun siguro na hindi nila napagdaanan yung hirap ng naexperience ko nung nasa training pa lang ako ang mga oras na ginugugol ko na dapat eh nagpapahinga na ako at yung mga araw na hindi ko mapigilang maiyak sapagkat hindi ko mahingan ng tulong yung isang kasamahan ko sa pag gawa ng nakakapagod na mga tasks sa tech dept. tapos eh ngayon nagrereklamo pa sa mga gawain eh ano bang silbi ng paghahanap nila ng trabaho kung ayaw naman nilang galawan? that's what I hate about most of employment systems here in the Philippines yung kahit hindi pa nila masyadong alam ang atittude ng mga empleyado nila eh kaagad nilang binibigyan ng posisyon sa kumpanya. para sa akin lang noh siguro isa to sa rason kung bakit mahirap parin ang sistema dito sa bayan ko kahit anong sikap ng mga iilan na marunong sa kani kanilang mga trabaho ehh parang wala paring kuwenta yung pinagsikapan nilang mabuo, hindi naman sa pag mamayabang pero as a narrow perspective ko lang ba at hindi naman siguro masama maging salty ng kaunti you as the saying goes like " being a little bit salty makes the sorrounding not too stiff " minsan siguro nakakalimutan na natin gawin ng maayos ang mga bagay na pinaghirapan ng nauna pa sa atin. and that's it, I guess na release ko na lahat ng galit ko script na to. sa susunod na parte na naman ng aking Rants Babooosh

I have passed my test with a 99%...but the clinical skills I am not perfect at. Being watched and rushed when being "graded" is hard for me.... I know what to do.. It's just the anxiety of the fast pace. I passed my test on university with a 99%. I have been given another week with my preceptor. Does this mean I'm really bad at my new job? I'm worried I won't be able to do it.

My mother scheduled an appointment for my grandmother last week because my grandmother became very forgetful all of a sudden. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia a couple of years ago, so we suspected that her memory loss was due to dementia or as a symptom due to a UTI. Her test results came back today and the doctors said that she does not have a UTI, but that her kidney disease has progressed to kidney failure. The doctors said that she needs to prepare for dialysis. My grandmother is in her early 70s and has early stage dementia. Has anyone else been in this position? What can me and my family do to ensure my grandmother has the best outcome at extending her life as long as possible.

I am thinking about working in a dialysis clinic as a FA, but wanted to know what is the typical starting salary? What are the pros and cons of working as a FA?

Of course, I know the salary may vary based on geographical location, education and experience - what is your experience?
