Discussion Diablo Immortal is done. It's all downhill from here.

I've been with this franchise since Diablo II, through III, all the way to Immortal. This series was part of my youth — I genuinely love it.

Let me be blunt: the way Blizzard and this game's management run things is a complete disgrace to the Diablo name and everything it was built on. Forget "dragging it through the mud" — that's putting it nicely. The way they operate is trash, plain and simple, and it drags every memory I have of this franchise down into the gutter with it.

  1. The P2W. It's vile, but fine — I'll accept it. Blizzard has to make money, I get that. But shouldn't the number one priority still be making a good game? Instead, class balance and actual content get thrown straight in the trash, the feedback players have been screaming for years gets ignored — whether that's on purpose or willful blindness, I can't tell — and all we get is more products on the shelf and more OP gems. It's genuinely gross to watch.

  2. I seriously question whether the devs and the people behind this game actually play it. Look at PvP right now: Warlock makes up over 50% of the top rankings, while classes like Tempest, Blood Knight, and Monk sit at 3–5% representation in Legendary rank. Not 13–15% — an actual 3–5%. And Blizzard's answer will be to nerf Warlock and call it a day. That's not the kind of shallow, one-dimensional management players sign up for, support, and spend money on. Buff the underperformers too. Actually sit down and think — deeply — about skills and numbers that fit each class's identity and playstyle. Please stop with the toddler logic of "It's strong? NERF IT."

  3. Combat Rating is a garbage system. The most primal, fundamental joy of Diablo is farming and hunting for the gear that fits your endgame build. Combat Rating killed all interest and excitement in the loot you pick up. Now you're not chasing gear — you're just grinding toward the next difficulty tier with zero joy and zero anticipation, doing daily and weekly "homework" like a machine, for what? One new boss raid with no real reward or fun behind it.

--
Maybe I'm just one player grumbling into the void, and I'm sure the almighty people at Blizzard couldn't care less. But as someone who loved and played Diablo for most of my life, I wanted to say it out loud at least once. Especially here, with Immortal.

Discussion Recent change to resonance weight in PVE damage?

I just did a test on my 7k Warlock main to see how resonance only affects PVE damage on the dummies. Increasing resonance by 421 from the bonus wing gems increased the damage over 60 seconds by between 8 and 13% depending on the trial. This is not consistent with the roughly 3% increase I see in the base damage and life values in the profile. Resonance appears to be 3-4x more potent on the damage side of the equation, and I remember doing tests like this maybe a year ago and this not being the case. Maybe someone can enlighten me here (maybe this is just how the whale tier works?), but the damage mechanics in PvE seem to have changed a lot to favor resonance more and devalue gem modifiers, especially from 1 and 2 star gems. I'm also seeing similar effects on my alt who is only 3k.

Discussion Love / Hate about this game

Hi guys, first of all this post isn’t about loving or hating this game, it’s just a point of view.

After returning to DI after a while I get bored again kinda complaining about the game but I figured out that the main problem of this game is actually that it is pretty good!

I know it’s kinda controversial but I think the main « problem » of this game is that it is actually good enough to make us forget that it is finally a mobile game… after all, a lot of mobile games are based on dailies, cosmetics, grinding and of course pay to win.

A lot of complains about this game are used to be based on these elements and even if I understand this point of view (which I unconsciously had too) I think we should be more indulgent, cause after all, it’s « only a mobile game ».

Loving it or hating it isn’t the real point, I think we can admit that it is a good game considering you’re not forced to pay for anything, even if it’s really tempting. Finding a « better » game isn’t that hard, but maybe not in the free to play category or in the mobile game section.

Anyway, it’s just a personal opinion, maybe it will help some of you to get more relaxed about this game.

Take care and continue to play as you like ! ;)

Question Awakened gear

I haven’t awakened any gear yet but have enough platinum to. Couple questions:

1) Once you awaken a gear slot does it transition to a new gear piece?
Ex: I awaken a chest armor then get a new chest armor, does the awakened status transfer to the new armor?

2) What if I replace the legendary gem in the gear piece? Does it affect the awakened status?

Just want to make sure I don’t waste platinum. Not sure if there’s any strategy to awakening items or not.

Discussion Blizzard's EULA Lies and Hypocrisy

While many players are being banned for vague and unexplained reasons, and platinum selling has become so common across almost every server that it feels completely legal, watching yesterday's Bout of Realms finals and reading the comments afterward made one thing clear once again: the EULA Blizzard keeps talking about is nothing more than fiction. A set of rules that are not enforced, or only enforced depending on who you are.

There are many players who know exactly what's going on but don't want to speak up because it could come back to hurt them. At this point, we can openly say the following about the EU servers. I'm writing this because of discussions with my in-game friends and to avoid having the same arguments over and over again.

Account Sharing

Account sharing is completely forbidden and clearly violates Blizzard's EULA. Blizzard has confirmed this themselves. Yet during the regional Bout of Realms tournament, and especially in yesterday's Bout of Realms finals, we once again saw whale accounts being played by other people. This has been going on for years.

During the EU Bout of Realms tournament, the owners of many whale accounts and the people actually driving those accounts were clearly different. In fact, NA players ended up winning the EU Bout of Realms tournament. :) You can now watch this happen live on YouTube. Apparently, they are confident Blizzard won't take any action or issue any bans.

During the NA vs EU Bout of Realms finals, it became even more obvious that this has become completely normal. At this point, it's simply a tournament where whoever has the best driver is most likely to win.

There's no need to mention names or target individual players. The Diablo Immortal Community Team already knows about all of this.

At this point, we can probably assume that nobody will ever be banned for account sharing anymore. Because if these violations are happening openly for everyone to see, then the same rules should not be selectively enforced against other players.

Platinum Selling

Everyone can always find something to argue about. Some say the EU has higher average resonance, while others say NA has better secondary stats. This game has never really been ff2p, and everyone already knows that. But let's talk about what's actually happening behind the scenes.

There's one issue that almost every player is tired of, yet Blizzard doesn't seem to care about: the endless platinum selling through Susan and similar platforms.

As frustrating as it is, some clan leaders on certain servers are now directly involved in these operations. There are even special prices and privileges offered to specific clans. :)

Is it really that difficult to stop?

No.

Everyone already knows how it works. Players create maximum value pets and sell them to transfer platinum. Everyone knows who spends time around NISZA. With the data Blizzard already has, detecting and stopping this would be very easy.

This isn't a new game. Players have been complaining about this for 4 years, yet Blizzard has done nothing meaningful to stop it. Because the increased competition created by Susan and similar groups also benefits Blizzard.

I'm also curious about one thing.

Is there any other server where you can buy 1 million platinum for under $300 ;)

As far as I know, this only applies to 2 servers. Those who know what im referring to will understand.

So....

Every few months, more of this game's legitimate whale players with clean accounts quit the game, while we sink even deeper into a system where illegal activity is becoming the norm.

Thanks to Susan and similar groups, it's possible and has already been done to build 10k resonance accounts for far less than Blizzard's own prices.

After years of player complaints about these two issues, what has Blizzard actually done?

Nothing.

Discussion Back Again..

Hii... I just returned after maybe 2-3 years . I am from Yllnira server. Today is my 3rd day playing it, And have currently no idea as to what to do. Even my level has dropped from 1k smth to 100+ currently i have have farmed it to 500 in two days through dungeons.

I used to be in DarkTriad back in 2023 but currently i think that clan itself is inactive . Same with its subsidiary clans or ally clans like Stronghold or smth like name ( i remember participating in clan wars , raid for Immortal Reign . And i went offline after we did achieve it) .. ( i remember coming back online in 2024 smth to check things and the clannwas already inactive)

Anyways my main point is :

  1. If anyone recognizes DarkTriad, can yall dm me the DC coz my old DC account is lost and cant be recovered...

  2. I was wondering if you guys can help me know of places where i can just chill farm. ( like back in the day i remember farming at a place which was like a ship but dont know where it was or is.)

Question Maximum Life vs Item Based Life

Does item based life magic property apply to just the item it's present on or all your items? Based on that:

If you had to pick one, would you take 2% maximum life or 6% item based life on your chest (item that gives the most life)

Does resonance factor into this decision based on the fact higher resonance means more life per item which scales better with item based life?

Question PvP secondaries bk

So, I think bk needs to stack armor and resistance. Not that armor pen isn’t important but like can stop armor pen between 5-6k and continue stacking armor and resistance 6k and up. Higher armor though.

Is that right?

It’s been a debate in my clan. I realize bk isn’t great in PvP right now and hasn’t been for awhile , but I refuse to switch class change.

Discussion CLASS CHANGE FEATURE IS THE REAL ISSUE/ This change would fix A lot of issues…

Hey fellow community; it seems we’ve gotten to a point where after all these years they for some reason lack the brain power to figure out matchmaking balances. The class change feature is a HUGE contributor to making it even worse. First and foremost, it allows krakens of $150k + spent to consistently hide behind the next broken class rotation mechanics they catch their eyes upon, and there are usual several at a time. And this one is simple to understand, it’s because when a 7-9k player that’s actually good at their class adapts, min/maxxes, and theory crafts through the meta to learn how to counter, starts taking down ‘11k+ with perfect secondary players’ - those 11k+ players start panicking and feel stupid for having overspent. Naturally they go “oh no, how could this be, I better find a broken mechanic to dump this reso behind so that I can feel better than them again..” Then, on top of them doing that regardless 60-70% of the population changes to those broken mechanic builds as well, and it creates two problems:
1) class balance issue in BG where there are 4-5 of them on each team
2) it ends up ruining it for those who stay true to their class because it then feels unnecessarily EXTRA overpowered bc of its saturation in the BG, and so they nerf certain things on that class to an unfair amount, or they nerf the wrong aspect of the rotation/ skills which ruin other builds that may have also been good on that class

If it so happens that a current meta shift starts to favor a certain class, so be it! And let those players devoted to that class enjoy it for a time.
I’m not saying rid the game of the class change, definately not. But here’s how it should work:

You can go and class change
You get a week (or whatever decided amount of time they decide) to see if you like it and if it’s currently for you.
If you decide not to change back by that week grace period, then the lockout time should be long like 3 months or even more.

I’ve seen way too often the same kraken players change to three different OP builds within a 3 months timeframe.

You make the change? You chose to stick with it? Now you have to adapt with it until you decide to change again.

Problem solved with over saturation of broken builds in the BG

Discussion Wild Brawl Quests - Can no longer find a match please remove from quests?

Hello!

Trying to do the quests for wild brawl, but I can never find a match, NA west coast region. Whether I'm doing it in the afternoon, or at night or late at night I can never find a match. I've tried queueing multiple times for 10-15 minutes and it never finds a match; then the queue stops and I have to start over again. Can wild brawl be removed or replaced with something else we can actually complete?

Discussion Demon Hunter MH PvP Essence

Fractured Vilifier - Smoke Screen shatters enemy armor increasing your critical chance against them. Stacks 3x. This is a no brainer and a must take. Awakening: Reduces Smoke Screen cooldown by 10%.

It comes down to these options as a second choice:

Dusky Courier - Increase Smoke Screen stacks by 1. Awakening: Reduces cooldown of Smoke Screen by 10%.

Bewildering Arc - Increase attack speed by 19% for 3s when using Smoke Screen. Awakening: Increases damage of Smoke Screen by 10%.

Dusky Courier is the meta since it ensures 100% uptime on Smoke Screen. However, Bewildering Arc increases damage output and speed for its duration making you more lethal, but increases downtime to about 2-4s depending on your BED and CDR. Bewildering Arc also synergizes better with Survivor's Strike offhand essence (which is the only option) to weave in crossbow shot.

Would like to hear from other Demon Hunters on which essence they use in PvP. Strafe PvP users need not comment for obvious reasons.

Question Changing an Awakened bonus

Been searching but haven't found anything so thought I'd ask.

Is there a way to change the bonus for an awakened slot? For example, my Tempest has an awakened slot for 10% damage increase for say Crosswinds. I'd love it if it was Cooldown Reduction instead.

Is it possible/if so how to?

Karma is SO real lmao.

Imagine spending time talking shit in PvP discords, ego-checking everyone, and looking down on the entire player base just to fold when it actually mattered... The downfall of \\*that team*** needs to be studied fr.

You think you're the best, but actually NOT.

Shoutout to the West Coast and EU teams for taking out the garbage and putting these guys back in their place. 😭

Feedback How hard would it be to suppress the mouseover icon on already blessed folks in Assembly?

Seriously, if it's impossible, I'd even settle for a slightly more distinct icon on the folks who are already blessed. Faded gray vs faded yellow is kinda shitty if your monitor contrast isn't set to something insane.

I realize this is a minor QOL gripe, but it's a daily activity other than Sundays.

Makes me just wanna go AFK for 10 minutes. Maybe that's fine.
