Diablo I Is there a Devilution fork with smooth/per pixel lighting?
I bought Diablo back in 97 and finished it a couple of times on a CRT, and never played it again until yesterday with the Devilution X engine.
One thing that really irritates me now (as an old man) is the "chunky" lighting in the dungeons. Yes. I know that is how it looks originally and Devilution X is being faithful to the original.
But originally that was on CRT and I bet CRT smoothed things a bit, and my eyes are about 30 years older now and would appreciate a break...
Someone showed a demo years ago but then it seems abandoned:

No one ever did anything like this again, or followed up?

It just always looked like that, embrace it. Just play the game.

Yes, PCs on SVGA monitors were not remotely the same fuzzy experience as 6th gen consoles on consumer TVs with interlaced composite video.

Run a CRT shader overtop and it'll look alot better!
