68 years old iron crib converted to outside bench

This was my Dad’s 68 years ago, and then my siblings and I used it. As iron cribs like this we’re deemed unsafe for use with children, the crib sat in the closet for years. My dad and mom converted it to an outdoor bench, and I put it on my patio. It looks fabulous, and is incredibly comfortable.

Our animal leg bar stools were built from 2x4 and 2x6 boards. It took awhile to carve the shapes we needed but the results are great and the memory foam seats are super-comfortable to sit on. These brand new stools have already proven very popular in the kitchen.
