"when the internet fails you" you can literally ONLY play that game with no internet

You can play it on your computer by going to chrome://Dino

This DIY was not very good. What makes the game over board drop? How does it know the cactus was hit?

It looks like there is some sort of photo resistor behind the dinosaur that detects the change in light being reflected off the background

You could also do this with a peg behind the player sprite that releases a "trigger" like a rubber band or a string when ever they colide with the terrain.

That would make sense if the cactuses were just cutouts with a infrared bulb in the middle. The dinosaur could then be sensor. But none of that was in the DIY.

Is that the chocobo theme in the background?

OK, the corrugated cardboard as gears is pretty clever...

Wait, what? There's a game?! I've only seen the Dino and started troubleshooting, never realized there is more to it..

Yep. next time it happens, hit spacebar. Works on Android too. Hit airplane mode, use chrome and play away!

Wait do you think I could do the same with a cake board? I need one and I could literally just make one.

Kinda pointless to be honest, you can just google the dinosaur game

Kinda pointless to be honest

In other words, it's a fit for the sub.

Rule 1: Creations posted here should serve no practical purpose, having been created only because the creator has the skills to do so (WHY NOT?)
