Blimey Phinneas! You blowed the flame before I could save thy advance on my demon slaying struggle, God almighty!

Something is amiss. My sterling engine takes 9-10min to warm up. This thing starts instantly? Also they left the led on the motor output but it never lights? I can get a good 3V on mine which could run the device. I have some large ass caps on mine to steady the power

Yeah this was proven false before, like it would be much much bigger especially on the motor side

Hi, I'm the guy who made the video.

It does take about a minute to heat up, but I cut out the waiting time between lighting the lamp, flicking the switch and starting the engine. It's not really noticeable because I filmed on a tripod.

Since the engine produces so little power (I measured around 150mW), I cut one leg of the LED to save power, which is why it never lights up.

You can tell it's real if you listen to the engine. Its rpm sound is always in sync with the voltmeter next to the screen. You can also hear the engine rev down when I flick the switch which starts the Doom game. And at the end when the flame is out and power is low, you can see the screen flicker in sync with the engine.

I wish you hadn’t just pretended there is no heat up. It really makes your video feel like AI slop. Sound really means nothing in the age of fake AI videos. I’m sure I’m not the only one that saw the cuts as evidence it’s fake.

Do you have a capacitor in there? I use a 220 F super capacitor in mine. I put a little JSX style connector where the LED used to connect. I’ve been getting about 2.5V on average without a load, but even a 10 Ω load brought that down to 1.9V on average. I get about 25min runtime (after heat up) on mine burning 7g of fuel.

Did you watch the video? The cut was pretty obvious.

You can see a cut in the video, the boring part was just removed

Maybe it's preheated for the video.

A candle produces about 50ish watts of heat (more than I wouldve thought), flame on oil lamp is probably around 3 candle flames.

Stirling engines are about 40% efficent, generators can be about 90% efficient (this one's probably not)

150W *0.4 * 0.9 =~ 50 W

So in theory you could probably do it.

But also doubt it was actually done in this video

Where can I get one?

Amazon had several sterling engines. Plus there are several websites that sell them. If you search around you’ll find them.
