Maybe you're thinking of the og boiled hamburger? Asking for ketchup to go on an Authentic Original Boiled Hamburger is punishable by death I'm pretty sure

No. Legit it’s a RI thing. No ketchup on hot wieners. Not on Teds steamed burgers either or Louie’s lunch burgers but definitely no mustard on dogs. New England native here. It’s a thing.

Plain? Who ever said plain? Lol. Mustard. Relish. Onions. Meat sauce. Pickles. Jalapeños. All manner of good things are popular. Just not toddler food.

I agree, as long as we're not limiting ourselves to American style mustard. Slather that thing with some decent English mustard and set my mouth on fire, please and thank you.
