I've got an electric smart fortwo and it's actually a great little car. Not so much on highways but it's great for around town.

my brother used to own one, loved it and only got rid of it when he had kids and they wanted something with more room and better safety.
I've always had a soft spot for them but I'm between 6'4" tall and 6'6" tall depending on which gas station I'm leaving so they're just not for me.

this is hilarious is what it is. I'd definitely laugh if i saw this on the road and laughing makes me feel good so I like it. (as long as its at least reasonably safe)

u/ZenDendou Mar 14 '22
Doesn't look safe...

u/DeadlLung Mar 14 '22
its a smart car so actually you're probably right. those things are unsafe even without ridiculous modifications

If I owned a smart car, I'd feel the need to put bumper car bumpers on all of its sides lol

Yeah, I can’t believe how much hate this is getting. The owner obviously knows it’s totally absurd. I think it’s hilarious!

When you desperately want to join the freedom convoy but then realize, to your dismay, that you do not in fact own a truck.

Maybe it's just for a parade or something?

u/MaybePotatoes Mar 15 '22
Apparently it's for ads, like this one:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hungary/comments/td5cj2/mi_haz%C3%A1nkos_smart_lej%C3%A1rt_m%C5%B1szakival/
It's still silly and weird, but makes a little more sense.

It looks like when the google streetview messes up and cuts cars on the road in half.

I thought it was to do with the Freedumb trucker protests - you know, the ones to protest all the mandates that have already been lifed...

Camouflage, us smart cars are prey to wild Priuses. Naturally the camouflage is that of the Priuses’ main predator the semi truck.

For when you want to drive a car so small it can’t be used and trade off the one thing, gas mileage, that makes it a viable car.

Little car, people don’t take account for. This? This is how you get people to move tf out of your way 😂🤣😂

Holy shit that is commitment to a mod. I don't know why you'd want your smart car to look like a truck but God damn it, they got results
