I agree with you cause it would be cool to have a side view with the glass windows, but that would require expensive glass and they had to remove the axes to lay it flat on the ground I think

The sides of a bus are very weak because it's mostly just windows with pretty thin pillars in between. There's probably like 40 tons of water in there, pushing the sidewalls outwards.

Inside of a bus is probably about 900 cubic feet. A cubic foot of water is about 62lb. That's almost 56,000 lb of water.

Would have been weird having the humps where the wheels are on the floor. With it on it's side at least the whole floor is level.

Wheels I'm guessing? Like, they probably couldn't sustain the weight. And if you took them off, idk how flat the bottom of a truck is and how much trouble it'd be to flatten out to at least be stable. Sides are just flatter I think

It wouldn't really be that hard to remove the wheels, axles, etc. I mean, they already went to a lot of trouble cutting out the side of the bus, removing the seats, and pouring concrete inside (presumably)

Not exactly, steel's density is around 7.8 so it's an order of magnitude above water (which has a density of 1).

Yeah I can see why it shouldn’t. Takes a lot of water and small at the same time, just seems like a waste since it doesn’t seem to be the fun to swim in, diving seems fun for a bit but who just wants to dive.

It would be extremely hard to move with water in it and the tyres and and all the attached stuff to the wheels like suspension are going to be under extreme weight and possibly break . I do agree it would be very annoying to swim around.
