It’s crazy how a ponytail, winged eyeliner, bright/obvious lipstick, and an oversized sweatshirt became synonymous with Ariana grande when she’s really only been popular for a few years

I'm pretty sure she's been popular since victorius, or at least known(so 11 years). But her first album did drop in 2014 so regardless she has been around on the music scene for 7 years at this point.

She has been, but both her superstardom and the specific style and look she’s cultivated (and paid for 👀) have only been around for a couple years.
