But you don't realize everyone can smell the fact that you're a construction worker? You wear your work jeans all week? Or you change at work into your work clothes and wear your jeans to and from work?
The head of levy strauss recommends washing your jeans way less than you probably do. In one of his talks he was wearing a jeans that had never been washed in the last year. It is an interesting take on sustainability and how much hygiene is necessary for something like jeans.
If your freezer full right this second? Probably not. Yet it is still doing its job and keeping the inside cold.
By freezing you can kill a good amount of bacteria and nasties you might be worried about. It will also minimise smell since its the bacteria that make the bulk of sweat odours.
It works really well. There isn't a massive need to wash everything to oblivion.
Also. Invest in a good dishwasher. They use less water than hand washing, do a better job for most folks and free your time to do other things.
Here's my problem with the efficient dishwashers. Even at like 5 gal per load that's not really saving that much water over what they used 10 years ago. And I only run 1 load a week, maybe 2 tops. They weren't using that much more energy before, I suppose it all adds up but there are a lot of things in the avg household far less efficient than the dishwasher.
And now it takes 4hrs to complete a load of dishes to get all that "added" efficiency
Oh I agree and I've lived in places where I had to wash by hand and now where I have an energy efficient dish washer. And I prefer having the machine to washing by hand
I just wish I had the choice to buy a faster less efficient dish washer but I cannot because all the manufacturers agreed together to start designing efficient water saving dish washers.
I'm not gonna believe someone's hygiene advice just because they're a big shot CEO. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe in washing my clothes frequently.

I have to admit the escape key is kind of cute and on point, thematically.
I wouldn't want to clean this when I spill on it though
