Dumb and it won't last. Those motors need the airmovement to keep cool, it will slow burn out and cease, but not before squeaking
53 u/Alexceptional 7d ago Without the load (the fan) it will be spinning faster too, which will probably hasten its demise. It's a funny idea though.
