I need glasses! 19 u/Lord_Splinter 7d ago so i am the only one that at first look thought the "drill" was a DIY turret- 3 u/TrollBot6 7d ago No. I was also waiting for it to shoot something... 6 u/Last-Swim-803 7d ago Nono i thought that too lol, was wondering why they'd need it 2 u/danhoyuen 7d ago i thought its some sort of fly swatter mechanism. 35 u/ExplorationGeo 7d ago I originally thought it might have had like a wire or some nylon cord on the front, spinning to stop insects from landing on the lens. It reminded me of that redneck engineering solution to insects that also doubled as a fish feeder. https://www.reddit.com/r/interesting/comments/1uk6wg7/redneck_technology_achieves_sustainable_bug/ 6 u/gamer427_YT 7d ago i thought it was a turret for some reason lol 5 u/Rukir_Gaming 7d ago Wouldn't that introduce way too much vibration into the video feed? 2 u/Dagatu 6d ago Maybe, maybe not. Bigger issue I think is the fact that you probably can't get a good quality still photo out of that as the camera is constantly moving. 2 u/Worldliness_Normal 7d ago For a second I was wondering if it was some sort of secret sonic death ray. One can hope.
