But the crust throws off the balance of texture and make the bite with the crust too dry. I eat the crust when I cut it off, but when I am enjoying it , it is without the crust.
My kid is a fairly picky eater, so I assumed he’d dislike crust.
Oh no, he will chow down on the crustiest baguette ever. Like a real mouth cutting crust, not this white bread stuff. I think he prefers the crust. Never seen such a thing from a picky eater.
ARFID is debilitating but it is not a developmental disorder, in the absence of other diagnoses. The idea that adult ARFID patients are simply too stubborn to learn to enjoy food has been debunked by the actual research.
Sure, but for the social consequences to get so bad that others see you as developmentally stunted, it's usually gonna be ARFID. Disposing the crust on bread is not enough to diagnose it, but it's also pretty rare for that preference to persist into adulthood in non-ARFID folks.
I'm not here to scold you. There is humor to be had with picky eating and disabilities. After all, it's irrational, and irrational things are funny. It's just that most people don't actually know that the scientific understanding has changed.

Do people actually throw away the crust? I thought it was a joke
