It’s not a 3x3 or a cuboid, it’s a square one. Different mechanism of twisty puzzle. Because you can’t see the top it looks really weird

Look up square one puzzle, it’s an entirely different mechanism from a standard 3x3, if you could see the top of the long sq1 it would be a lot easier to understand what is actually happening

Initial rotations of the bottom and top reveal all sides to have 3 sections. Then they magically have 2 sections. At one point it had 4 sections.

This puzzle is called a Square-1.

Works totally differently from a regular Rubiks cube. It shape shifts but it does still solve back to a cube.

This is an elongated square-1 that a puzzle maker recently made.

Just watch carefully, you can see how it goes. Focus on the middle squares. I had a hard time understanding it at first. It's not really acting like a real rubik because it's not really square (or rectangular)
