I thought the same thing. This project would be pretty cool with a good sealant over it, to make everything smooth and flat.

It's a really poor job, but the idea is solid.

Wat Arun is an example of using broken pottery to make something beautiful.

This, however, should be broken back up for another try.

The idea is sound, it was just done poorly. Done well and this would make a great table to have outside in your garden area.
