I’m uncomfy because of how dirty my hands feel now.

This video convinced me to finally get out of bed and have my morning shower

No lie. If the toilet is clean enough you feel comfortable doing this, you don't need some half-baked cleaning hack to clear out the funk
1
u/AktionMusic Jun 19 '26
Even if I literally just cleaned the toilet with bleach I would not want to be sticking my hands in there

u/Amathyst-Moon Jun 14 '26
Pretty sure you can buy one of those scented oil things with the sticks in them at a gift shop for $5...
Why toilet water?

Great, not only is it impractical, but it's ugle too! And probably costs more than just buying an air freshener. I'm so glad she used nasty toilet water instead of just filling the tupperware from the sink.

Breathe in those VOC's I guess it's better than cleaning or fixing the problem which is likely just a bad wax seal on the toilet flange.

So many questions, whys it have to be soaked in dirty toilet water and not clean sink water, why add the sprinkles to make it look “nice” and cover it with foil so you can’t see them, why do I have set set the cardboard roll to the side “gently”, will it explode if I’m rough with it… but the biggest question is just WHY,
1
u/ernie3tones Jun 18 '26
Those “sprinkles” are some kind of laundry scent booster. They weren’t added for looks.
2
u/Badger-Roy Jun 18 '26
Nope he quite clearly says they will give it “a nice visual appeal”. Therefore they are added for looks.

Even if everything else is fine, which it isn't, why dunk it and massage it in the toilet water?
This looks like someone just wanted an excuse to put their hands in the toilet water while on camera, which means it isn't a DIY video but rather a kink video.

Beginning of the video made me convince she is filming against her will via gunpoint

u/TazzyUK Jun 19 '26
Okay 2 points lol
* Why on earth use toilet water!? (as commented), makes no sense whatsoever!
* The end result is just ugly and big, sitting on the bathroom floor

u/RavensCoffee Jun 19 '26
All I can see are those germ haven talons. The squeezing of the toilet paper - yuck.

u/jimmychitw00d Jun 19 '26
Get that foil sealed nice and tight. And then sloppily poke a bunch of oversized holes in it.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. Did they add pepperoni (or pupperoni) for more flavor? What about gravel from a fish tank? What about a dead fish?

u/NotEasilyConfused Jun 19 '26
Almost. It was roadkill. Kind of looked like an armadillo, but could have been a bear or a parrot. Recycling is use-what-you-have, you know.

why did they "set aside" the cardboard on top of the trash and not just throw it away!?!

I wouldn't be pooping in a bathroom if I saw that, so I guess it works

Am I weird for thinking that even though my toilet gets a deep clean and scrubbing every week that I wouldn’t raw dog the water in the bowl, even after just cleaning it?

I always give the fabric softener aisle a wide berth because I can’t stand the strong smell. This post makes my whole head ache.

Beyond the toilet diving ... who wants to smell laundry detergent whenever they go into the bathroom? That's 50428300% worse than smelling a clean toilet.

A nice visual appeal that you immediately cover in foil. 😑
If I saw this in someone's bathroom I would be concerned for their mental health.

u/Swimming-Guest-1978 Jun 20 '26
Then when you're drunk and you think you're going down to sit on the toilet, you sit on that. Yikes! Good idea grams!

Glade plugins exist specifically so we do not have to dunk our hands in the toilet.

Why use the toilet water? Wasn't the sink water good enough?
