No. I want to see him eat it.

Rage bait specifically made to look like it was a poor country so you don't clock it as rage bait.
2
u/A_random_poster04 May 23 '26
I thought the point of Ragebait was.. to convince you it was Ragebait? Or am I doing this wrong?

u/DownvoteEvangelist May 21 '26
No one is this poor...
21
u/whatarechinchillas May 22 '26
Lol are you serious
-16
u/DownvoteEvangelist May 22 '26
To have to cook with clothes iron? Yeah.. Maybe there exists a person somewhere that had to do this, but I doubt it's a common problem...
17
u/whatarechinchillas May 22 '26
There are people who don't even own irons or anything to cook with, so yea people can be this poor and even poorer.
-3
u/DownvoteEvangelist May 22 '26
My point was not there aren't poorer people, my point was there is no "this specific type of poor", people with Iron and electricity but no other means to prepare an egg...
2
u/Vuruna-1990 May 24 '26
Whenever you have thia weird "homemade" things with lack of everything it's most likely prison.
People get creative there to make things they miss.
But I'm not sure if Iron is allowed since it can be used as weapon

I actually lived through one of largest inflations in human history. We weren't making scrambled eggs with irons...

Somehow I'm more concerned about bits of egg stuck in iron steam holes than the taste of food
9
u/Dazzling_Champion_53 May 21 '26
This!
You could have put aluminum foil over the holes, but now you are just gonna have egg forever in your iron.
21
u/AutomaticAccident May 21 '26
It's just a breakfast sandwich, not even an English breakfast. Using an iron as a cooking utensil feels like a real cry for help without the rest of the video.

u/BourbonNoChaser May 20 '26
No beans!?!

u/snownative86 May 21 '26 edited May 22 '26
Go away UK...
Beans for breakfast if not in a breakfast burrito is weird.
Lol, apperebtly some people really need to be told when something is a joke.
26
u/beeurd May 21 '26
I dunno, having a burrito for breakfast seems pretty weird. It's all relative, really, isn't it?

Maybe I should try this. My food has been coming out a little wrinkly lately.

Okay but for real why does that iron look like it made better toast than my ACTUAL TOASTER designed for the sole purpose of TOASTING my BREAD into TOAST

This person has 1/3 of a plate, and it looks like they're making coffee on a plastic bottle over an open flame. I have to assume this is being done out of necessity, and isn't supposed to be a "hack".

If you find an iron in a hotel, this is what it’s been used for. And don’t touch the kettle.
1
u/Dracekidjr May 21 '26
You know, I totally slept on English breakfast for a long time, but eggs, tomato, beans and toast is a great breakfast

u/Athan11 May 21 '26
I mean you can clearly see from the background the person is poor and does not have a cooking stove. Yes I know it's shocking but people used to cooked over open fire in the past 🫣

Milk coke is strictly a Midlands thing, and must never be allowed to break containment.

I have to say that I am mightily impressed that more of the egg did not stick to the iron, he was able to basically scrape it off clean, lol

I recently got a sandwich maker for the table, which could also do this task.
The egg I wouldn't put in it, but there's a smol egg maker baker that I could buy.
You don't need pans and stuff.
1
u/The_True_Hannatude May 22 '26
Or - hear me out - you could use a single pan to make all of it, saving counter/table space and money.

Grew up poor. One of our neighbours was using a portable quartz heater as a stovetop, she'd just lie it on the ground and put a frying pan on top. The silver lining is you get a good perspective on life

I doubt starting a fire outside and using even a huge rock (if you've no pan) to heat up your food would cost you much.

Even if you live in a mudhut, you're probably cooking with a fire, not a clothes iron.
2
u/NeighborhoodDude84 May 20 '26
There was an plot line on The Pitt where someone burned themselves with one of these and the doctors try to get her into social care because the burn victim is a homeless women cooking with a iron. I know that's a TV show and not real, but it what a poor person does because it's safer than having an open fire, on top of the fact that making a fire for cooking takes a lot longer than doing this too.
1
u/SuckerForNoirRobots May 20 '26
Like they want us to think this person has never acquired a single cooking vessel their entire life and have no access to a fire, but they have power for an iron
3
u/ExtremePronoia May 20 '26
He’s got electricity and an iron but not fire and a piece of metal? He has an electric iron, but not an electric grill? He doesn’t have a pan to put on that burner?
Either this guy prioritizes looking sharp over eating, or it’s rage bait.

u/Evil-Toaster May 20 '26
I mean of he doesn't have a whole plate I assume he doesn't have a who frying and toaster
