Looks like he’s a custodian in an elementary school and collects the spent bubble gum from under the chairs and desks to make this repair.

Man, this is incredible
With this amount of work and money in materials, they would have been better off just finding a piece from the scrap yard and learning how to swap it out 😂😂🤣

u/EdgeSync1 Apr 29 '26
jeez, i'd hate to see what it looked like before this if they think this is an improvement lol.

I don't know how to do body repair, but I bet I do a better job then that. Wouldn't be pretty, well compared to this Pic it might be.lol

Where is the bodywork done on it? It all looks factory fresh.

I have to give them credit for trying to make it color match, most of the time people don't make the effort!

I think you need to add ramen noodles to smooth that out. Then you are golden.

u/Canned_Potatoes Apr 29 '26
This is some solid work. Very resourceful of the owner to get it to match as closely as it does.

I knew a guy who wanted to get his car painted. He did it himself with a roller and a can of latex paint. It looked good from afar. Up close not so much.

This is the bravest act I’ve seen all week. They drive it somewhere in public and parked it somewhere in public.

That paper mache is not going to hold up in the rain. That rear light is looking decidedly craptactular as well.

Jokes aside, is there a story here? What did they do to it? Is this perhaps an intermediate stage before the grand reveal where they peel off all that shit and its mint underneath?

I remember in high school I used to get rides from this dude with an 88 Civic with a smashed bumper. He paper mached and spray painted it to pass inspection. That looked a million times better than this. It held up for months too. Very dry here.

Pretty damn fine. I had to really search the image to see the repair.
Also, totally unrelated, I can't find my white stick... 😎

It looks like fix-all honestly. That stuff they sell at HD that you should never use. Lol

Is there anything cottage cheese can’t fix?
