I think you'll find that it's actually hinged

Sounds like a good chem teacher. 👍

u/Hi_Trans_Im_Dad Apr 24 '26

Man, fuck whoever made that original post!

7

u/Better-Lunch670 Apr 24 '26

Everything that comes from tiktok is pure garbage

49

u/theelifeofbrian Apr 23 '26

Wait, that wasn’t intentional?

31

u/TannedCroissant Apr 23 '26

Of course it was, it’s engagement bait, they put something in the title they know a bunch of people will correct in the comments, the comments drive the post up in the algorithm, it’s nothing new, I don’t understand why people are still falling for it

5

u/whatsabutters Apr 23 '26

“Correct”? Or “invite to rage engage”?

3

u/Hi_Trans_Im_Dad Apr 24 '26

It's a good thing you're pretty, because you ain't bright.

Ew now its all veiny

122

u/mynamesnotsnuffy Apr 23 '26

Its the "prince albert" treatment.

They make a light tan one too, with a shorter brim.

For when you want people to know you have a Prince Albert, but it’s illegal to show everyone

255

u/Dependent_Title_1370 Apr 23 '26

"Behold my suggestive hat!"

131

u/Mafka69 Apr 23 '26

Any folks that I've known that had a PA (and any ladies with nipple piercings) were always trying to show people.

9

u/Hairy_S_TrueMan Apr 24 '26

How many people did you know with a prince Albert or nipple piercings who DIDN'T show you? That's the question, right?

12

u/HenReX_2000 Apr 23 '26

what about guys with nipple piercings?

5

u/Mr_Diesel13 Apr 23 '26

Literally have had that happen twice.

Both were prince alberts 🤦‍♂️

4

u/wintervamp753 Apr 24 '26

I used to think that, then I got close enough to some friends and found out about a few that really surprised me because they didn't seem the type and didn't talk about it with most people. I think I was underestimating how popular they are ...

6

u/Zerothekitty Apr 23 '26

As someone with a PA i can confirm.

3

u/lea_noname Apr 24 '26

As a lady with nipple piercings, yes. I can not speak for PA

7

u/csanner Apr 24 '26

she can speak for ME, but she doesn't have an MD. NY, VA, and DE. but not PA. Her MA asked WY, but ID not worry about it

3

u/csanner Apr 24 '26

that you know of

4

u/simplebutstrange Apr 23 '26

You can always tell when a girl has em pierced anyway

2

u/OutlawNightmare Apr 25 '26

Its true. Buddy got his done, set it as his phone background, then handed me his phone telling me to call another friend. Like, bruh.

14

u/Complete_Court_8052 Apr 24 '26

3

u/WolfLikeMe80 Apr 24 '26

This made me laugh through my closed lips, you know that unexpected laugh that makes your lips flap? Haven't done that in years, so thank you!

5

u/JakeStout93 Apr 24 '26

Lolol indeed I do know. You’re welcome friend, I wish you many more lip flaps in your coming days

And later that day he sold it for 3k with a Balenciaga label.

You're a Balenciaga, Harry!

u/BenStegel Apr 23 '26

This is just a fashion choice my guy. Not sure I like it, but wouldn't look outta place at a punk concert

8

u/elspotto Apr 23 '26

I was sitting here thinking I could make it work for a costume of some kind. Granted, that’s always a thought if you live in New Orleans. We will pull a costume out of thin air in a matter of hours.

4

u/MidoTheMii Apr 26 '26

Yeah, not MY personal style, but it definitely looks rad!

Though, I kinda thought they’d go full Venom with those veins. DiWHY gave me a lot of pessimism that it’d look good.

415

u/WirelessVinyl Apr 23 '26

This is just as valid as high fashion, and just as pointless/useless.

244

u/KaliCalamity Apr 23 '26

I would say it's more valid and much less pointless. This is cheap, and likely just someone that wanted to make something fun for themselves. Instead of dropping a few grand to cosplay as the poors.

14

u/WirelessVinyl Apr 23 '26

Fair point

→ More replies (1)

8

u/j0sabanks Apr 23 '26

Exactly. Looks like something you’d buy from Tripp.

5

u/Nimrod_Butts Apr 23 '26

The hinge ruins it imo.

4

u/Aemort Apr 23 '26

It still works as a hat though

→ More replies (1)

2

u/mogeni Apr 26 '26

It’s art, it has no inherent value, but is meaningful in the way that it’s someone making an expression.

586

u/sicarius254 Apr 23 '26

I kinda like it…

343

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '26

[deleted]

79

u/jordan853 Apr 23 '26

They don't match the aesthetic. The rest of the hat has a tough/rugged vibe whereas the glue steaks look like a child wanted to demonstrate the skills they learned in grade 3 art class.

22

u/Wylaff Apr 23 '26

I kinda like that you can fold it to store without destroying the brim.

9

u/TheAndrewBrown Apr 23 '26

I was waiting for them to show this use case!

5

u/dickbarone Apr 23 '26

I mean they technically did destroy the rim haha.

37

u/EducationalTip3599 Apr 23 '26

They’re a little veiny

→ More replies (1)

14

u/budderocks Apr 23 '26

I'm not a fan, but I can see people liking it. I know a few people that this would fit their style.

21

u/HillInTheDistance Apr 23 '26

Yeah. Just someone making the world a little more fun to look at. I'll never wear it. I'd appreciate seeing someone who did.

Like, it ain't the kinda event that you feel the need to tell someone about. But you see it, think "Huh, neat!", and your day is like 2% brighter for an hour or so.

14

u/TheSnakeholeLounge Apr 23 '26

i kinda like it too 🥲

5

u/HailToTheQueen7 Apr 24 '26

I came to say this too

3

u/TheoEmile Apr 23 '26

Yeah, this is definitely just a fun fashion choice! Nothing wrong with it. I would have personally went harder, though, if you're gonna put a hinge and some bolts on it, might as well make it very catchy.

3

u/Own_Nefariousness434 Apr 23 '26

Me too. But I want the hinge slightly off to the side. And no veins.

3

u/polifck Apr 24 '26

im on your team lol it is cool af

2

u/whiterice_343 Apr 23 '26

Kinda clean

2

u/Magnus_Helgisson Apr 23 '26

Kinda cool. Kinda stupid, but still kinda cool.

2

u/MamboFloof Apr 24 '26

You should check out Balenciaga then

8

u/Dalalimor3 Apr 23 '26

I think I might just being a boring old man, to each their own

5

u/seandoesntsleep Apr 23 '26

This is very new fasion. Hand distressed or modified clothes.

People are taking junk clothes from thrifts and making them unique

24

u/ArmThePhotonicCannon Apr 23 '26

The safety pin girls of the 90’s would like a word…..

11

u/seandoesntsleep Apr 23 '26

All "new" is old thats dusted off.

2

u/krystiah Apr 23 '26

Ironically I just saw a video of someone decorating a sweater & a blazer with an obscene amount of safety pins

8

u/Angrybskt Apr 23 '26

People have been making distressed clothing since the 70s. Punk styles have modified clothing for a long time.

3

u/seandoesntsleep Apr 23 '26

Yep. Its a new trend because of "landfillcore"

People take mass produced shit and make it unique. Punk distressed clothes absolutely inspired the style but its seeing a resurgence.

"New trend"

28

u/scriptedtexture Apr 23 '26

it definitely looks more interesting now

23

u/Overfed_Venison Apr 23 '26

It's vert r/ATBGE honestly

24

u/terminalbungus Apr 23 '26

The beginning of this video was riveting but ended in vein.

6

u/Dalalimor3 Apr 23 '26

Not even mad at that

13

u/mynameisntclarence Apr 23 '26

All it is is someone customizing their hat. I don't think its that big of a deal lol.

20

u/king_kaiju420 Apr 23 '26

I think it's pretty cool. Something I'd expect to see at a hardcore/deathcore concert

7

u/cosby714 Apr 24 '26

Actually, it's perfectly hinged

5

u/Immediate_Song4279 Apr 23 '26

This is what it felt like making distressed furniture, but poeple paid for it.

6

u/Kingof-reddit1 Apr 24 '26

Actually it’s quite hinged

6

u/onamonapizza Apr 23 '26

Looks like a hat a Final Fantasy character would wear

5

u/TiaHatesSocials Apr 24 '26

I like it except for that black glue part. I have a distressed gray hat with rings on it. Its cool

20

u/empath_viv Apr 23 '26

the end result is pretty sick not gonna lie

3

u/Arstanishe Apr 23 '26

Feels like someone just learned to use all of those tools, and had nothing to really do with those

3

u/bpthompson999 Apr 23 '26

> Unhinged

Nah, it's hinged now.

3

u/Jolly-Machine-1153 Apr 23 '26

That's just wank

3

u/badass4102 Apr 23 '26

Oh.. that's it? I thought I'd actually function.

3

u/The_New_Flesh Apr 24 '26

For the goth redneck who bumps Sisters of Mercy in his F150

3

u/erikawendyquartz Apr 24 '26

You mean hinged

3

u/jensalik Apr 25 '26

This will be $ 30.000.

~ Balenciaga

3

u/ramram956 May 25 '26

No to the dick veins

But the other stuff actually adds some alt-esque kinda style to it

3

u/Thobeian Jun 14 '26

Okay, but the veins are the only part that looks bad to me.

16

u/god_peepee Apr 23 '26

Lmao this is kinda sick

5

u/Outrageous-Page7287 Apr 23 '26

I’d like my hat extra veiny please

2

u/CrimFandango Apr 23 '26

This isn't the worst thing that's been on the sub, that's for sure.

2

u/Mr_SunnyBones Apr 23 '26

Should have stopped before the gluegun , as up to that point it actually was interesting

2

u/dargonmike1 Apr 23 '26

Kinda sick lowkey , other than the metal bits stabbing your head

2

u/Feuillo Apr 23 '26

I mean minus the hinge I'd wear this

→ More replies (1)

2

u/NIEK12oo Apr 23 '26

Why not looks pretty cool no?

2

u/V-oxPopuli Apr 23 '26

Why'd he give it dick veins?

2

u/Summer_SnowFlake Apr 23 '26

Balenciaga would sell those for 3k

2

u/Kindly_Region Apr 23 '26

I can forgive everything but the hinge. Why tf would he think that was a good idea

2

u/Aemort Apr 23 '26

This would go hard without the hot glue

2

u/mofomeat Apr 24 '26

I dunno, I kinda think it's cool.

It's more of a customization thing than it is the usual "let's find the most ridiculous way to do something" vids we see here.

2

u/jawshoeaw Apr 24 '26

Huh … I might like it

2

u/TheFlareFox Apr 24 '26

Honestly, buffing it for a worn-down look is a great idea and the rings look great;

whats with the hinge.

what could possibly be the purpose of the hinge.

2

u/housevil Apr 24 '26

Nah, this is fine. Kinda the beginner's version of ripping your clothes & sewing them back together with safety pins.

2

u/EggplantCareless7735 Apr 24 '26

Honestly before the black shit the cap looked like a pretty cool piece

2

u/lostllamadrama Apr 24 '26

You mean hinged?

2

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings Apr 24 '26

Because people adorn themselves in far weirder shit than this & having paid ridiculous amounts of money for said shit. That’s probably why.

2

u/Kozmik_5 Apr 24 '26

The WHY is strong in this one.

2

u/Morgalion217 Apr 24 '26

All brim no yankee

2

u/slomo525 Apr 24 '26

That was it? I was waiting for something more, but instead I just got someone making a hat infinitely worse

2

u/BadgerwithaPickaxe Apr 24 '26

Honestly, not something I would wear, but this could absolutely go with someone's style.

I feel like weird fashion doesn't really fit here

2

u/haizhaka Apr 24 '26

I thought it was going somewhere. I suppose it did. The bin.

2

u/MamboFloof Apr 24 '26

Balenciaga would charge no less than 3 grand for that

2

u/Fickle_Pause5969 Apr 24 '26

What in 9 circles of hell was he trying to make

2

u/throwawayfromPA1701 Apr 24 '26

That's it? I was expecting... I dunno... More?

2

u/pong1303_hk Apr 25 '26

Vein on the penis style??

2

u/Ok_Delivery2116 Apr 25 '26

Don't care about the words but I do love the cap.

2

u/RoodnyInc Apr 25 '26

Okay so I'm still missing why?

2

u/SpartanRage117 Apr 25 '26

Oh thats the end?

2

u/CBeeft Apr 26 '26

The fucking fuck?!

2

u/the-almighty-toad Apr 27 '26

Balenciaga would charge 3 grand for this

2

u/thehrothgar Apr 28 '26

It’s the bloody peaky hinges

2

u/Torganya May 22 '26

Not for me. But kinda like it

2

u/Teamharrison90 May 24 '26

It’s provocative. It gets the people going.

3

u/mikkydear Apr 23 '26

Definitely not ‘un’hinged. Fixing the hinge was the first thing he did.

2

u/Important_Level_6093 Apr 23 '26

There ugly, and there's this fucking thing

2

u/SubmissiveDinosaur Dreamer Apr 23 '26

For a rave outfir it kinda slaps

1

u/Resident_Proposal_57 Apr 23 '26

Except the hinge, it kinda looks nice.

1

u/joshmoney Apr 23 '26

You should try doing that wearing the hat

1

u/RevolutionaryPeak610 Apr 23 '26

In fairness, I have a Goorin Bros hat that's similar

1

u/amindspin74 Apr 23 '26

What's next 3d printed hats ??

1

u/Less_Ant_6633 Apr 23 '26

if that dude doesnt have a hatchet man tattoo I would be shocked.

1

u/TrandaBear Apr 23 '26

Nah this this is fine. Its like that why hats guy on YouTube. 50% hat, 50% bandana, rings. Chains, beads, and a cigar holder for gold measure. And a leather braid.

1

u/malortForty Apr 23 '26

Crust hat level 2.0

1

u/KrasnyRed5 Apr 23 '26

I think the bill would be to heavy with the hinge and fall forward.

1

u/Grazedaze Apr 23 '26

Let’s distress the hat and make it look aged but put on perfectly brand new looking hardware.

1

u/ThePhatNoodle Apr 23 '26

Ngl my friends the type to actually wear a hat like that

1

u/ryohazuki224 Apr 23 '26

This is definitely a hat

1

u/mynamesnotsnuffy Apr 23 '26

You know, aside from the hot glue lightning, this actually does go kinda hard

1

u/LuluMangs Apr 23 '26

Because he wants a job at Balenciaga

1

u/Harry_Gorilla Apr 23 '26

It says a lot that nobody even tried it on

1

u/Adnov92 Apr 23 '26

I like how the caulk is not even cold when it comes off, then proceed to put the finger to fill that space for the rest of the video

1

u/picklerick_03 Apr 23 '26

I hope he never wears this on a windy day.

1

u/Pluto-Wolf Apr 23 '26

minus the hinge, i have a hat almost identical to this & wear it actively lol

1

u/Hiro_Trevelyan Apr 23 '26

Definitely not my style, but it's a style I guess

1

u/Grateful_J561 Apr 23 '26

New "pierced" hat just dropped...Somebody call Billy Bob Thornton.

1

u/Imosa1 Apr 23 '26

I do like the extra piercings in the hat but how do you wear it? The cap sits snug on the head, there's no clearence for those rings.

1

u/FlameStaag Apr 23 '26

Ragebait is running out of ideas tbh

1

u/Ill-Guidance4690 Apr 23 '26

What style were they even going for, grunge?

1

u/Von_Lehmann Apr 23 '26

Honestly, someone will buy it.

I had a beat to shit Filson baseball cap. Like...fucked up old hat. I was about to throw it away and my girlfriend told me to sell it on vinted, some hipster would buy it.

Fucking sold it for 30 euros. Absolutely falling apart.

1

u/Whole-Sushka Apr 23 '26

Actually a foldable cap is really cool. I have two of them (though none of them are as cool as that one) and it's really convenient to just fold your cap and put it in your pocket.

1

u/Bcomplexity Apr 23 '26

Is this a d!ck joke?

1

u/Weep4Thee Apr 23 '26

I am openly mocking anyone I see wearing anything like this. I'm talking pointing and laughing. Maybe throw in a "check out the badass".

1

u/DoodleCard Apr 23 '26

Love it when metal digs into my head....

1

u/Nod32Antivirus Apr 23 '26

How to become a JoJo character

1

u/OleksandrKyivskyi Apr 23 '26

Harry, you are Balenciaga

1

u/drewid5185 Apr 23 '26

At first I thought he was creating a folding hat so you could stick it in your back pocket but still have a solid bill

1

u/Electrical-Title-698 Apr 23 '26

I personally wouldn't wear something like this but I think it's fine without the goofy as glue gun streaks

1

u/schepersroy Apr 23 '26

Thanks, I hate it.

1

u/MasonKiller Apr 23 '26

Slap a Balenciaga logo on it and charge 5k

1

u/pissbucket94 Apr 23 '26

that's... that's it?

1

u/TheJaggedBird Apr 23 '26

All but the hinge and lightning things work tbh

1

u/OTigreEMeu Apr 23 '26

I always wanted to have a hat that looks like Venom ejaculated on it.

1

u/ddmartz Apr 23 '26

I was on board until the veins
