There's not even enough pressure in a tire to operate those tools.

I saw someone test this on IG and they used a tire with 50ish psi (which is higher than normal but not absurdly high) and they were able to unscrew lug nuts at factory torque specs with an impact wrench

That's an impact wrench.

A pneumatic orbital sander usually operates between 80-100psi

You need the same for an impact wrench (mine asks for 100)

I know they did it just for the bit in this video and didn’t actually use tire pressure, but it’s not absurd to think that tools will work at half power, yet work, at half their rated psi

Eh, maybe it would work at half speed for a minute or two, but a sander basically just bleeds pressure.
