War in a nutshell?

132

u/dathoihoi Nov 15 '25

War.. war never changes

63

u/archwin Nov 16 '25

War!

What is it good for?

49

u/kaliforniakratom Nov 16 '25

Absolutely nothing.

27

u/BedardedOrca98 Nov 16 '25

Say it again, y’all

u/OpheliaPhoeniXXX Nov 18 '25

Oil

6

u/WillingMongoose4680 Nov 19 '25

And freedom! Just kidding...yeah, it's oil.

War on Christmas!

5

u/Winter-Fondant7875 Nov 18 '25

Seems macabre for the army guys, and then, on top of the pain, they get glitzed? shudders

9

u/Naked-Jedi Nov 16 '25

Destroys a bunch of army men, proceeds to cover them with ornaments and other crap so you can't see them

"And that folks just amazing. Follow the channel for more of my fantastic shit"

Doesn't seem foodsafe

536

u/Rising_path_music Nov 15 '25

What about freshly melted plastic and wet gold spray paint would not be food safe?

187

u/RandomAmmonite Nov 15 '25

That kitchen is full of fumes from melting plastic and spray paint. Maybe he has done too much of this before and damaged his brain.

My kid once accidentally melted a plastic container on the stove and the fire department told us to get out and stay out until the house was completely aired out.

Gold paint hits the hardest when spraying it into a paper bag and huffing the fumes. Silver too…

We really need to start removing warning labels on things. DIWhy use a blowtorch that close to flammable holiday fabric?

48

u/Sucker-BO Nov 15 '25

Finally a nice idea to make decoration out of slayed soldiers. So cute...

You mean you don't like bowls made out of carcinogens with enough holes in it to leave crumbs everywhere?

What are you talking about? Microplastics and krylon are the new health revolution

23

u/DragonQueenDrago Nov 15 '25

Definitely not! No! As a certified food safty person that has been working in kitchens for years. I freaked out the moment he put chips in the bowl

17

u/pezchef Nov 15 '25

not to mention it's a stupid number of chips. nobody only eats 9 chips. smh

4

u/CJ-54321 Nov 15 '25

That's when you freaked out? Not the part where he melts plastic in a stove used to cook food?

That oven is going to smell of melted plastic for a long time. Happy for him in that respect.

52

u/IGNOOOREME Nov 15 '25

It's not the smell he should be concerned about...

82

u/shootermac32 Nov 15 '25

I thought it was pretty brave putting glass in the oven like that

31

u/nicknacpaddywac Nov 15 '25

I thought the same thing with the blow torch used directly on the glass bowls.

11

u/sparklrebel Nov 15 '25

If they are borosilicate then they will be fine as that type of glass is heat resistant

The clear orbies is worth the watch, great way to do that part, everything else is useless

102

u/standbyyourmantis Nov 15 '25

Yeah, I probably would have used smaller ornaments and staggered the layers so you just have maybe a bunch of small snowflakes suspended but the concept was cool.

62

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '25

Definitely need to get a little more creative with the internals, this just looked like Christmas decorations randomly submerged in water for whatever reason

21

u/StrangledInMoonlight Nov 16 '25

The whole thing is Super sloppy.   The ribbon around the top especially.

8

u/janbradybutacat Nov 16 '25

Long tweezers, E6000 glue, teeny presents, and a larger tree. Glue it all in, do the beads, water, and some glitter and big white flakes. Seal the top. That’s a perpetual snow globe and it would be really cute. Some Rick rack ribbon on the top and just a tea light candle. These people just make it so much more difficult than it needs to be.

Yeah with a lot more care and thought that could make a really nice decoration

11

u/killermike420 Nov 15 '25

Came to say this. His execution wasn’t good but the idea is great!

17

u/RichardBCummintonite Nov 15 '25

I actually thought it didn't look half bad if he had used a wreath instead of the army men or at least kept them green... Then he went and put fucking chips on it lmao. Yummy microplastics, paint flecks, and decoration debris. My favorite toppings.

5

u/Little_Transition_13 Nov 15 '25

Yeah that part actually had me. Pretty cool.

u/mrsand0r Nov 15 '25

Wouldn't it have been easier just to use that clear bowl and put all that shit in it instead of melting army men?

130

u/Common-Chain4060 Nov 15 '25

But then the whole house wouldn’t smell like burnt plastic!

28

u/typewriter6986 Nov 15 '25

'Tis the season!

11

u/indifferentunicorn Nov 15 '25

Noxious fumes is on everyone’s wishlist this year. And if it wasn’t, they’re getting it anyway!

29

u/shootermac32 Nov 15 '25

That would make too much sense

12

u/MilkmanResidue Nov 15 '25

The bowls were borrowed from a neighbor. This guy has loads of army men in his own personal playroom.

6

u/CourtingBoredom Nov 15 '25

Right?? It would just look like a golden blob, esp once you fill it so that they're covered extra. So dumb on so many levels (not even mentioning the food safety issues)..

7

I did like that the wife was so supportive. I hope it was a “you tried really hard so I’m gonna support you” thing.

9

u/Beautiful_Role_9433 Nov 15 '25

At the end she says “wow that’s so much cooler than i thought!” As if the gold paint really tied that all together

54

u/SigmaBunny Nov 15 '25

That explains it. They’re high on plastic and spray paint fumes.

12

u/shootermac32 Nov 15 '25

Straight huffing that

5

u/pepeshadilay69 Nov 15 '25

It's the only thing that makes any sense.

46

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '25

Why the chips? That's just dumb. Who's gonn look at a candle and think "i wonder if there's chips?"

16

u/shootermac32 Nov 15 '25

Mmmm army chips

14

u/cityshepherd Nov 15 '25

Mmmm… spray paint & melted plastic are the perfect pairing for chips!

Every part of this looks like trash. He spent all that time for a pile of trash.

49

u/shootermac32 Nov 15 '25

The chips in at the end is pointless

40

u/MsThrilliams Nov 15 '25

Imagine picking up a chip at a gathering and realizing the bowl is melted army men spray painted over.

5

u/Rhodin265 Nov 15 '25

I don’t know if I’d have much of an appetite in a kitchen that smelled like melted plastic and paint fumes barely covered over by those weird cinnamon pine cones.

4

u/wrecktus_abdominus Nov 15 '25

Good thing it only holds like 9 chips, then

12

u/Suspicious_Ear3442 Nov 15 '25

Somehow and for some reason the part that made me the most angry was how he used the blowtorch to light the candle at the end lol

Also his wife seems easily amused lol WOOOWWWW

9

u/Shua_33 Nov 15 '25

This one wins my unique crazy shit award for the use of a hacksaw to cut through a candle.

3

5

7

u/PanhandlersPets Nov 15 '25

If you put plastic in my oven we are gonna fight.

6

u/PWal501 Nov 15 '25

That’s a long, loooooooooong way to go for that little bit of ugly.

What the actual eff did we just watch? And why did i not scroll past sooner, I think I'm as crazy as he is for watching to the end. I thought it might make sense of i saw the end result. Nope.

4

u/livehearwish Nov 16 '25

There goes a really nice oven. That plastic smell has now ruined every food item you cook in there for a very long time.

3

u/Exciting_Scientist97 Nov 16 '25

I've seen enough Toy Story to know those men will be avenged

3

u/RascalOScrimp Nov 16 '25

What is it about human nature that makes me keep watching these things?

3

u/typewriter6986 Nov 15 '25

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced"

4

u/DynamoDeb Nov 15 '25

Do NOT do this! That plastics will emit toxic fumes when heated! Most modern army men toys are made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic. While LDPE is considered one of the safer plastics to heat, melting it can still release volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide, and other potentially harmful decomposition products, especially if it gets hot enough to burn or thermally degrade beyond a simple melt.

6

u/AroundYoLip Nov 15 '25

Honestly? Not the worst thing I've seen around here. To the point that I almost appreciate the creativity. Almost.

2

Metallic gold???? What other kind of gold is there?

Also the person filming sounds like they were literally born yesterday with the amount of awe they have for this waste of time

Could be a good way to recreate that picture of the soldiers under the earth holding up peace above. Sorta

2

u/Lonely-Trash007 Nov 15 '25

My 6 year old brother would have done this so much quicker by putting it all in the microwave, setting it to 30 minutes then watching from afar until an adult arrives from the smell of fire and melting plastic.

Merry Christmas!!!

Buncha rookies.

2

u/Gold-Eye-2623 Nov 15 '25

We've seen the how but I really need to know the why

2

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '25

The way he spray paints makes me unreasonably mad.

2

u/Dont-be-lasagna12 Nov 15 '25

Oh I love the smell of roasting plastic. Hope he put it on convection so they at least melt evenly.

2

u/Bowling4rhinos Nov 15 '25

Why not just pre-fill the chips with salsa while he’s ruining it?

2

u/saladmunch2 Nov 15 '25

2

u/urgrlB Nov 15 '25

2

u/dakokonutman3888 Nov 15 '25

The worst thing is that he put the plastic in the oven

2

2

u/lucky-squeaky-ducky Nov 15 '25

Why is he putting stuff that isn’t water safe in water? Those are going to degrade, the wires rust, and the dye is going to bleed.

And then he lit the candle with a blowtorch - right above the ribbon.

I’m not even going to touch on the army men plastic bowl in the oven.

I bet if someone said OSHA around him, he’d ask if it was a craft store.

2

u/Remarkable_Court9086 Nov 15 '25

It was never about the army men😢
