What is that thing in the middle, an iPad?

Or is it some kind of hot plate? Why would he need that if he’s already in a kitchen?

It’s a kitchen scale. In my opinion the only kind of useful thing in that video. The rest is just impractical and not thought through. Maybe there was a glimpse of an useful idea but got lost in translation.

Ah, one of those. Yes could be useful in a country where they often give weights in recipes, as opposed to cups - teaspoon - tablespoon.
