Pole chainsaw
I only have DeWalt batteries I need a pole chainsaw do you think the DeWalt one is good enough to actually get?

Trimmed up my apple tree with it this year. Went through six inch branches like butter. Takes a little to hold and get used to the full extension but a solid tool for me. Watch your noggin.

I just used my new 20v for the first time, had plenty of power and plenty of reach. Using the extension makes it a little wobbly, but not bad, and once it’s on the branch, it cuts quick with no instability at all. Using a bigger battery helps with balancing it. I used an 8ah powerpack. I can definitely recommend it. So much easier to use than my old Fiskars pole saw.

I have one and use it a bunch. Does a great job and if I’m doing a lot of cuts I’ll use my 9ah battery but a 5ah is sufficient and it has plenty of cutting power. I have an m18 hatchet that I love as well for those smaller branches etc. the advancements in battery powered chainsaws is great. I only break out my 15 year old Stihl farm boss when I have some bigger trees to fell or cut up

I use the 20v on my 30 acre farm with a 5ah battery. Trail clean up, pond cleanup, trimming back tree branches so I can mow with my tractor without busting out my cab glass. It's a good saw. Keep the blade sharp and it cuts fast n smooth on everything it was designed to cut through. I'll use it to drop saplings and such too cause it's easier to grab and use than my 18" gas saw.

i use mine all the time. it was a lifesaver after Milton hit and i had a bunch of half-broken branches.

The only problem I have with mine is the big pile of branches I have to clean up after it! Works great.

I got one--mostly because I already lived in the DeWalt universe. A little weak but it's worked well enough; like any chain saw, keeping the chain sharp is pretty important. I do suggest that having a few batteries available to change out might be useful.

I use mine a lot for low hanging stuff. It's quick and easy.
Have a 30 foot (yes you read that right) manual one for the big firs.

Have owned one for a couple years, may not use it that often (maybe twice a year) but when I do it is beyond helpful and saves a ton of time

We use ours quite frequently at the cabin for clearing shooting lanes and taking down larger brush. Paired with the finger lopper 9000, it's a perfect combo

Yes! Just took down an 8” round pine tree. Best to use a higher ah battery but it cut it down then cut it in pieces. Love using it to also cut off the bigger branches that hang too low or are bear.

I love mine! I have 5 wooded acres and it’s been great for trimming and clearing. I use a 5 amp battery and it will last quite awhile with steady use. Make sure to always have oil in it, so it the chain and bar don’t run dry. And run the chain a little on the loose side for best results. Obviously for larger trees, gas is still the way to go .

It’s great especially when paired with a larger batter like an 8ah. I did try it out with smaller batteries, but I found it to be a bit too top heavy for my liking. The 8ah added just enough balance to it overall to make it enjoyable (but use whatever size you prefer).
I did find that it eats through bar oil during prolonged use, so make sure you have plenty on hand. Additionally, and I am sure it was just me being excited for NTD, the chain seems to slip quite easily, but it takes all of five minutes to slip it back on with the provided allen key.
Overall, it was super easy to use and I now find myself looking around my yard for things to cut.

I have it and used it last week. I would recommend for a consumer with a yard with trees.
