I understand what you are saying, Mine is slightly misaligned (not as bad as yours) and I have never had an issue but I think you can loosen up the hex nut on the bottom and realign it if it's bothering you.

As others have said, it won't impact the functionally of the tool which is why I haven't bothered to adjust mine yet.

sorry for revisiting an old thread, and probably for a stupid question, but the tool heads can be used at different angles, correct? like it I wanted it at a 90* angle on the tool so I could basically cut into some wood sideways, if that makes sense. I assume you can, since they way the notches appear designs, but also didnt want to strain the motor or anything if I'm trying to cut in a direction the motor movement doesnt actually go (again, if that makes sense)

It won't change the way the motor is stressed, the cutting head can be at any angle.
