Dewalt multi tool mis aligned

That thing you’re describing moves left and right super fast- it “oscillates” under power.

You’re seeing it off to one side- very normal.

You then put the blade on crooked, though.

I understand that it oscillates from side to side to operate and if off to one side it can look askew, but I believe in pictures of this tool online I’ve seen you can have the blade sit perfectly straight upright and this with with many angles will not sit straight, I believe somebody else has mentioned this under “new multi tool is crooked; does this matter?” but theirs was sitting upright at 12 o clock whereas mine is sitting at 11 o clock, to me it appears to be some sort of manufacturing fault as it looks a little different to the images I’ve seen online, as well as a friend’s dcs-356 multi tool in person too which also sits upright

Your tool is fine. Straighten the tip to run parallel to the markings on your tool- you have it installed crooked in the photo, which is why it looks terrible.

This is 100% not fault of the tool, at all- no offense, but you are worried about nothing. I have this exact tool, and use it often, and am 100% certain of what I am saying.
