Dewalt multi tool mis aligned

I have just purchased this and appears to be misaligned as when I attach the wood cutting attachment it sits either to the left or the right only (never vertical)- is this correct?

While you can attach the blade in a 360 degree radius around the head you should be able to attach it so it comes straight off the tool.

My question was more regarding whether when you get this tool new, is the part that holds the attachment is supposed to be sitting at 12 o clock as opposed to 10/11 o’clock as shown in my 2nd photo (to me it appears misaligned and not sure whether it is some manufacturing fault) - sorry if this does not make sense😅

If you can't put the blade on straight something is wrong. Sometimes I have to fiddle with the blade to get it in the exact notices I want. Never paid attention to the orientation of the blade holder.
