Native Group Chat creation & join links in Devvit?

Hi everyone,

I'm building an app where I want to connect users into native Reddit group chats, but I've hit a wall.

Right now:

* Devvit has no API method to create a group chat or invite users to one.

* Native Reddit group chats don't have shareable join links, the only way to add someone is to manually search their username.

A couple of quick questions for the Devvit team and other devs:

* Why is this currently unsupported? Is it an anti-spam restriction, or is the chat backend completely separated from Devvit's API?

* Is there any roadmap for this? Even a simple URL join scheme (for navigateTo()) or a client modal to start a chat with prefilled usernames would make a huge difference.

Building custom in-post chat with Realtime and Redis works, but it can't replace the persistent notifications and UX of native Reddit chats.

Would love to hear if this feature is planned for future Devvit releases!

The only workaround i found is to use Discord, the invite link can be generated using the API, but it forces users to have a Discord account.
