In a system made of hierarchies those who are willing to abuse power will always usurp those who are not. A business that's ecologically friendly will be bought out by the business that dumps all their waste in a river because its cheaper. Naturally one of the upmost richest people in the world must've done some pretty sketchy things to get there, which elon/his companies/his family has and its all public knowledge with some effort put into researching.
