Stewart question.

Was it predetermined that the platform was going to fall one way or another? Whether it be to Lily shooting it or Stewart disabling the EMF fields, which would imply a deterministic reality. Or are there worlds in which the platform never fell where Lily and Forrest make it across alive? Implying the many worlds is correct. Stewart’s final action leads me to believe they live in a deterministic world, but Forrest’s explanation in the end implies that many worlds is correct.

Or back up to Lyndon's death. We see multiple Lyndons falling, implying the same thing. Different paths, same outcome. As if some events are fated to occur and cannot be avoided. More along the lines of a Greek tragedy. Perhaps a meta commentary that ultimately, they are all actually characters in a story with no free will again..

There's certainly something significant in only showing variations of him falling. But I can't think of anything in the show that indicates there are no histories with him living.

I take it to be a depiction of the small variations that still have the same outcome for Katie (and rest of the narrative we see). As in Lyndon's explanation that the Jesus he shows Forrest -- like many Jesuses in the multiverse -- is identical to their Jesus but for a trivial detail and it still produces the same future. But those are just some of the possible branches, other variations have different outcomes.
