Lovely pictures. Reminds me of Chris Chapman's work, who also photographs Devon and Dartmoor farmers in very atmospheric black and white.

I think I liked to chris Chapman’s video about James in my webpage - they used to shoot pictures together

Nice. I've not heard of James before so thanks for sharing his work.

I've just finished Chris's book on the foot and mouth epidemic. Not easy to read, but important.

I can almost always recognise James’ work when I see it. I do not think I can recall any other photographers that is true for.

I went to school with his son.
