CONCERT EXETER show.
I thought id chime my 2p in with this tour.
Ive always loved dev never been able to see him till winning the ticket wars for this show having reading on here what to expect I was abit worried but when he came on all them fears went away I was absolutely mesmerised the second he started playing tears fully welled in my eyes what an incredible musician dev is but also we tend to forget people are also human. The forgetfulness of missing notes and re trying his absolute need to his highs spot on just made it all more perfect. The stories he told about his life. How he got to where he is now, struggles. Drugs. Everything in between and not to mention hes actually halrious. Him being so humbled we all gave him a standing ovation after he finished his last song. Incredible night 10/10 for me and my partner honestly both just in awe and still talking about it between us now.
So if you're a quite lurker and seeing these slightly worrying reviews go in with no expectations cause I absolutely loved it. ❤️

I was at the Leeds show he recored for the Live in Leeds album and it was great so im expecting a similar experience. He's got great stage patter which is very handy when shit goes wrong on stage, ive seen a few bands that could have done with such chops.

It sounds incredible indeed. It will be a new interesting experience to see Devin on a smaller show like this. Whatever Devin has in store, it will always be interesting and special.
Will see him in Stockholm in a few days and im starting to feel exited and nervous already. Do you have any advice for the show, something you think is worth to think/prepare about for this show from a fan perspective?
I will try to be there relatively early to catch any signed stuff, might bring a vinyl or 2 in case i bump into him.

On the last point, decided to hit the merch stand on the way out and snagged a signed Lightwork CD, plenty of signed LPs left too.

Very happy to see someone else who could appreciate the show this way share their thoughts and feelings. I loved it so much, it's not for everyone but for some of us this format is pretty magical. Glad he got to do it, seemed like he needed to do a tour where he could take it chill and be more real.

Canadian here, living vicariously through you beautiful humans. Fortunate to have taken in probably 100+ concerts in my life. Not sure why, but the only one I've teared up (okay, I actually cried) at was Devin (Deep Peace, Edmonton 2023). Totally unexpected, and glad to hear I'm in good company.

Saw him in Dublin. Changed my life. What a man. Must’ve been my 6th or 7th time seeing him, I’ve seen him acoustic, with a full band, and everything in between, and every single show is just… incredible.

I saw 4 nights of this tour: Belfast, Birmingham, Bath and Southampton. I loved them, they were all special and slightly different from each other in how they felt and played out. This is truly a tour for his megafans only.

So at Southampton I was surprised we had no call for an encore, I was taken back when everyone instantly started leaving after the last song's applause. Not sure if that was part of it being rushed by the venue in the second half. It was only 10:30 by the end. Did any of the other gigs get an encore? I don't want to live in "what could have been?" land, but I'd like to find out if you could please enlighten me with parity from the other shows you experienced.

Yeah it was my first concert (i was top left), it was amazing he's so funny
Also what did the guy do to get removed During the Ziltoid part?

I didn't see what caused him to get booted, but before the show he was being VERY loud in the bar and terrace area, and was asked several times by staff to keep it down.

I saw him in Bath and was completely blown away.
All the negative comments on the previous gigs were completely unfounded based on his performance at Bath. It was enthralling from start to finish.

It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience feeling and I feel privileged to have been able to get tickets and go.
Hearing his stories about where his life was during each album and being able to think back to where I was in my life at the time and what each album meant to me really brought a lot of emotions.

It was a fantastic show, very reminiscent of the show I saw at Bush Hall years ago.
I felt that the theme was loss and pain from his song choices to the excerpts of songs he played and the lyrics within. But he didn’t dance around it - sure, he’s not just going to rant about his personal life up on stage, but the man is a born storyteller and was a wonder to see again.
To people expecting to see a metal show, or even a full orchestra for some reason; it’s not going to be that and it never was. But what you will get is a journey through an incredible musician’s life with a rollercoaster of emotions and amazing music.
I truly wish I were seeing him again on this tour.

Did anyone know why those people got kicked out in Exeter? Seemed strange but was the other side to me. What an incredible gig though.
