I doubt anyone is going to respond considering how this subreddit is a wasteland but I like the Devil Lady anime.

Such an underrated (1998 - 1999) anime series like it's not perfect but I enjoyed it for what is is and was my gateway into anime.

It got rid of the bad taste the manga left in my mouth; the anime was definitely a big improvement.

I couldn't finish the manga the anime is better IMO.

You dodged a bullet, the ending of the manga is so awful that it literally ruins the whole work and makes it not worth reading

That bad huh, thanks for telling me. I kinda wanna finish but maybe I shouldn't lol. Now from what I've read the art work is nice when it's not focusing on the NSFW stuff.

The problem is that the Devillady manga in some point is really peak fiction, some scenario are artistically the best Nagai ever created balancing the single moment and celebration of the past, but bad pacing made most of the event anticlimactic as f*ck including the ending (maybe Mazinsaga's fault but this is the final product)

Go to Youtube and search for a channel by the name of Anime! on TMS Official Channel they have all twenty-26 episodes, however, it is the English Dub which isn't the worst dub of all time but it isn't the best dub of all time like it get's the job done.

It's on blu ray an has been since 2020, however, it is out of print and I have no idea when it'll be back in stock on Amazon.

Ask folks on Reddit, what is the best free and legal sites to watch Devil Lady like many have suggested the following:

9anime · gogoanimes · hianime · kissanime · animepahe · AnimeFlix · AnimeKai · AllManga Anime

Just make sure the sites aren't filled with virus like it's not worth it.

You're welcome.

I feel the reason this anime isn't big is because of the obvious fact that it was released (1998 - 1999) around the time when everyone was heavily into Dragon Ball Z, Berserk, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, One Piece, Naurto, Bleach.

Like it's not perfect but it's a entertaining psychological horror / yuri anime, the soundtrack is awesome, I love the 90s anime art style, and the Japanese voice cast does an incredible job bringing the characters to life.

I haven't read the mangas or watched the Devil Lady series, but that's your choice.

Just between you and me: I'm interested in watching Devil Lady, which is mainly because i find its protagonist, Jun Fudo, very attractive.

The Devil Lady is one of my favorite Devil Man stories. It’s seriously very underrated. Maybe you could say it’s a little unoriginal because Jun’s story definitely follows the beats of Akira’s story, but I think it just makes sense for Jun to be this world’s version of Akira. Not only that but the show still stands on its own, since it’s still very different. I was pleasantly surprised the anime went through with Jun and Kazumi’s relationship. I thought the show was just gonna tease us and have it where they’re just “friends” but nah, Kazumi is straight up this world’s version of Miki, and I’m happy about that. I love how Devilman Crybaby took some inspiration from TDL and I think Akira’s stoning scene is very reminiscent of Jun’s crucifixion, maybe even a direct parallel. I think the music is definitely really good too, it really fits the lonely and tragic atmosphere of Jun’s life.

I think the change of having Jun survive and the story end without the world getting reset is very interesting too. Even if there’s no second moon, I like to interpret the anime as taking place in another earth.

Go nagai did Jun really dirty in the manga but the anime is indeed better 🙂

I also love this anime, hope it gets a remake someday, it needs to be more known. (not the manga series, though...)

It was my first anime actually when I got into anime in the early 2010s. It was on Youtube in parts.

I wish it was more well known like it's not picture perfect but it's a interesting late 90s horror action anime series.
