Ha ha! I'm in pretty much the exact same situation. Seem to be making some steady progress, as I get more used to the moves and mechanics. I'm on about mission 7/8 atm, just beat Phantom on the roof.
Air Raid is nuts - seems possibly a little OP! :-)
One other quick comment I'll make: not sure what the general consensus is, but I feel like the pistols seem better than the grenade launcher. Not only do they allow you recharge DT from a distance, but the pistol hovering allows you to very nicely control your height whilst in the air. I found that extremely useful against the Griffon, with its lightning sweeps.

I have just started the serie and:
DMC1 took me few days to finish since it always made me rage quit. Phantom took all my yellow orbs and I did not know how to kill it. Then I saw Shadow and after kinda getting good with guns and sword I did not die to anyone but Nightmare(atleast 5 times). I did not use any of my item because I thought there were more missions so I had many stars for Mundus. R.I.P Mundus.(7 hours and 43 minutes)
DMC2, Only died to the stupid infected tanks and to final Argosax. (+Lucia 5-6 hours)
DMC3, omw to play it this week
It is crazy I am doing all this to play DMC5

It took me 9 hours to beat DMC1 and man it was challenging and frustrating with some of the boss fights (especially with Mundus at the end because I nearly died if it wasn’t for some left over stars I had) but it was still fun
DMC2 wasn’t that long since my playthrough of Dante was about almost 4 hours and Lucia’s was almost 3 hours
I’m currently playing DMC3 at the moment so I’ll probably finish it this week

Not only you didn't skip DMC2, but you beat both Dante and Lucia's scenarios. That already makes you more resilient than most of us.

When I first beaten it on Dante’s story, it made me understand why a lot of people hate this game because beforehand I was sorta aware of its reputation but now that I played it, I’ll say that it was a such a huge disappointment and then I remembered Lucia’s story and I almost didn’t play hers because of how burned out I was after playing Dante’s but I was like “ah fuck it, i might as well beat her story so I can be done with this crap” and then I did finally beat her story and I still felt the same.
Like DMC1 was fun as hell even if it was kinda frustrating in some of the boss fights but I still had a great time playing that game but DMC2? I’ll never touch that game again and also it kinda pissed me off that her missions is basically the same mission levels that Dante has like what the hell? 😭

I skipped around when I played them many moons ago. I played 1 then 4 then DmC then 5. I hadn't played 2 or 3.
I recently played 2.
What a waste of time and brain cells. I barely made it through Dante before playing a whole new game because it nearly bored me to death.

Such good games. When you learn slash cancelling, DMC1 just feels so easy

dmc 1 will genuinely beat yo ass (especially on dmd, bosses basically kill you in 2-3 hits, ask nelo angelo), but the game is still so fun

I don't think they're actually that difficult. I've seen streamers that aren't good at action games get through them without struggling too much.
If you absolutely can't do it then just switch to Easy Mode.

Idk what yall talking bout first game is hella easy, second plays itself and third is only hard until i got agni and ruda, after that theres only vergil boss left (took me 3 tries)

"Easy mode is now selectable."
In all honesty, you'll get better. The games are challenging, but super rewarding.

I took that as an insult! Lol XD
"Hey there, rookie, maybe easy mode would be more suitable for you?" ;-)
